    Brendan Sorsby and Texas Tech vs the NCAA

    Brendan Sorsby has been gambling on hundreds of college games, including games he played in. Arguably the most egregious case in history. NCAA banned him, he filed for an injunction and a Lubbock judge granted the injunction today. NCAA will appeal, but that process takes 9-12 months (not sure why it can't be accelerated).

    This is complete BS. I hope entire nation unites against Texas Tech for this. Absolutely shameless.

      I have never seen America so united. Not one person outside of Lubbock is happy with this.

            Honestly, I would root for Utah to beat TT now. That is how much I hate this.

              So does the NCAA have any recourse with this 'temporary injunction?' and if not, can we now say that Texas Tech is now "weaponizing the justice system against college football?"

                  Yeah, they can appeal, but it takes 9-12 months at least.

                  I hope there are other options. I am 100% in favor of a boycott of TT.

                    The TI is in place until resolution of the underlying suit, correct? So if TT plays him and Sorsby loses the case (and I think he will), they have to forfeit all games in which he played.

                      The appeal can be accelerated, since it is an interlocutory order. It is possible for an order to issue on an accelerated appeal before the first game kicks off.

                        The funny thing is, I think Will Hammond will prove to be a better QB than Soresby.

                        It's baffling to me that TT thought that a two-game suspension was sufficient.

                          Yeah, I can't imagine why TT didn't just jettison Sorsby immediately. Let him fight his fight on his own. Really dumb.
