I think it's any season ending injury that takes place in the first 1/4 of the season.Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostEven if it was a couple of plays on special teams, with an injury you can still redshirt. aI believe it has to do with the amount of plays. Although it might have to be a season ending injury. Not sure on the official rules. Matt Asiata redshirted after he broke his leg vs. Oregon St. I believe Harvey did it in 06 as well. He had a couple of carries in the first game and broke his hip. Both of those were season ending injuries though.

Ok, so this poster said he "tweeted" Wrubell. Don't know how accurate it is.

I think it does have to be a season ending injury. I think if he plays 1 down he can't redshirt unless it is a season ending injury.Originally posted by jay santos View PostI think it's any season ending injury that takes place in the first 1/4 of the season.
Dick Harmon is tweeting that he did play on special teams on Saturday but I think the NCAA goes off of the official participation report so he should be good."Take it to the Bank"

But (apparently) Bronco has confirmed he played on special teams. If that's the case, I can see Bronco volunteering that information, even if its not in the official participation record.Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostI think it does have to be a season ending injury. Well it looks like he can't redshirt then unless the injury is a lot worse than what is being reported.Originally posted by falafel View PostBut (apparently) Bronco has confirmed he played on special teams. As a receiver, that injury could very well be season ending. It will take 6 weeks for the disrupted ligaments to heal and another 4-6 weeks to rehab the hand.
Edit: I'm basing this on the report of an open dislocation (bone protrudes through the skin)"You interns are like swallows. You shit all over my patients for six weeks and then fly off."
"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault. It's my fault for overestimating your competence."
