Gee, I wasn't trying to make you feel guilty. I was being my sarcastic jerk self.

Hope your day tomorrow is much, much better and I am NOT being sarcastic.

      Oh I know.

Tomorrow needs to be a good day. I ending my work day wanting to punch a client. That doesn't happen often.

You have something to look forward to when you get real old. Instead of punching them, you just tell them to take a hike.

I remember times during the first 20 years of my career I wondered why I would get chewed out and then try to kiss their ass.

Will Utah use 2/3 of their OOC games vs in-state teams for all four of those years? That would mean only one game vs a non-PAC or in-state opponent. I don't see that happening.
Isn't that 4-game series a previous agreement? After it's up Utah will never travel to Logan again, I bet.

Yeah, good job on getting a return date with TCU. And what's USU's going rate to come to Provo? I know the Aggies come to SLC for free.

No point scheduling USU if we're going to have to cut a high six-figure check like we would any other school we schedule 1-and-done. Because going to Logan is a much bigger thing for USU than it is for USU to come to SLC, it's my understanding the only thing the Aggies get from us is travel expenses. Both teams keep 100 percent of the gate in this series.

Whether Utah-BYU continues in the future will likely come down to money, now that it's no longer a conference game and not subject to whatever conference revenue sharing was in place in the past.

In home-and-home arrangements, like what Utah has with USU, it would be uncommon for the home team to share the gate with the visitor. Generally, there are only payouts when it's an uneven scheduling arrangement (like a 1-and-done or a 2-for-1). One of the reasons for the payout is because the visiting team (or the team with the most road games) is foregoing the opportunity to earn their home gate - even though many of these teams do not generate as much profit on home games as the payouts they receive for playing on the road.

To be fair, he has more readers of his posts on CUF than he does for his WNBA beat columns. He's not used to scrutiny.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

                          Gotcha.
Do you ever make a post that isn't stupid? Just curious.

BYU scheduled Boise State for future seasons. They also scheduled TCU net year.

Who cares? You left the MWC, tried to join the WAC and settled for the WCC -- all under the rationale of more exposure for your football program. My comment on BYU, standing alone, doesn't make sense. Duh. Of course, it's all you 5-watters look at, cuz you're all dead-to-rights on the primary issue of breaking tradition. When BYU breaks tradition on a scheduling matter, it's expressed self-interests are "legitimate." When Utah thinks of breaking tradition on a scheduling matter, it's because it's scared.

                                You're all priceless.
