Don't forget Iowa. Half of the city went to Iowa.Originally posted by statman View PostNotre Dame is definitely considered the home team for Chicago. The rest of the Big 10 is pretty well represented, but fewer Illinois fans than Wisconsin and Michigan fans. Not surprising since Illinois sucks at football..."Be a philosopher. It's ludicrous that Michigan wouldn't be included in your group of "willing to do 2:1s".Originally posted by Maximus View PostIf I remember, we are looking at a 2:2 with a good school, will only do 2:1s with texas, ND, Ohio State, and Alabama, and are looking to do a 1:1 with Michigan.

Understood.Originally posted by Maximus View PostWell part of the post is that a 1:1 with Michigan is close, so maybe that is why.
If you can get it, take it. That goes for any on BYU's hallowed list of 2:1 ers and 1 and doners.
However, it seems very odd Michigan wouldn't be on that list.
That's all I'm saying.

Pelini and Holmoe had worked out a 1:1 with Neb., but Neb. admins nixed (apparently Holmoe and Pelini were teammates on teh 49ers).
Utah games are a done deal with contract signed. Holmoe and Thompson have a great relationship. There's a 2:2 or 1:1 (can't remember) with a major program that is all but signed.
BYU would never have left MWC w/out Utah. Church didn't want us to break any contracts, so we didn't try to take two MWC schools with us to the WAC b/c that would have been dishonest, even though we could have (can't remember which two schools...maybe UNLV and WYO???) Exposure and not money is prime motivating factor for going Indy.
In response to PU, if this were 2004, we'd be crazy not to do a 2:1 with UM, but this is 2010 and we could probably demand a better deal. However, Denard Robinson may put Michigan back in "fo' shizzle 2 for 1" status.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.
