Looking forward to BYU coming here every other year for the next 12 years! My only doubt is that I have no idea if I'll still live in the Treasure Valley for the next 12 years."Seriously, is there a bigger high on the whole face of the earth than eating a salad?"--SeattleUte

It might not be that big of a deal. It would be easy to agree to this in principle but include a provision that voids future obligations should BYU or BSU join a BCS conference. Easy. In the meantime, BYU tells the B12 while you guys screw around with this stuff we are moving forward. Maybe this is overplaying their hand, as KD has feared, but it might also just be a prudent contingency move.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostThis must be the elusive joker flush.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

I agree. It's also good to latch on to a school like Boise during these uncertain times, what with their dominant wrestling program and all.Originally posted by creekster View PostIt might not be that big of a deal. It's the no B12 thing. Without it we're done. I said back when it happened that independence could very well be the first step toward getting rid of BYU athletics. I was mostly joking. Now I'm not so sure. If we can't land a B12 spot with circumstances being what thry are I have to question whether SLC wants a serious athletic program. This sucks.Originally posted by Jacob View PostWhat? If no B12 this seems like a geat deal. Isn't scheduling about football? Why wouldnt we want to play Boise?

Given that BSU has not been linked to any realignment rumors, why would they agree to such an announcement?Originally posted by creekster View PostIt might not be that big of a deal. While your explanation is definitely possible, it would certainly be unwise for BYU to flex like that.Originally posted by creekster View PostIt might not be that big of a deal. Well, that semi-verifies that he at least might have some access to some halfway decent info that might be true. I hope his source isn't way off base on the Big 12 stuff.Originally posted by YOhio View Post
