Chris hill says this stuff because he can. Yes he is twisting the screws on BYU but it is great trolling. How coincidental that basically the same day that hill reiterates that Utah has outgrown BYU, BYU announces a four game series with UVU!

This allegedly dumb person helped guide Utah into a p5 invite. Maybe Tom should be less intelligent like Chris hill and get a little more nasty. Of course it doesn't help that our football coach can't really figure out how to beat the Utes, either.

as for the media here, they are stupid anyway. They do a terrible job with both teams and never take coaches or admin to task when they fail. This is the result: you get a guy who is now insulting his main publicity arm.

    dr. dumbdumb

The real reason is that the good folks at the uofutah don't like the image of its fanbase that emerges from the rivalry game. Not a good move by the dr. Those guys need a release at least once a year

A lot of media guys are killing him today, his one ally was the media but the fact that he called them self serving is not sitting well.

Jody Gennessy who doesn't even cover college football has called him a hypocrite about 10 times. He said everyone is self- serving of course the media wants BYU and Utah to play it's great for everyone involved. He also said Hill is a liar saying most site fans don't want it, that's Ute fans way of trying to demean BYU. The reality is Utah fans Are still obsessed with BYU and it shows all over every aspect of social media.

"DN: Given the controversy it stirred up, do you ever revisit your decision to not play BYU in football every year?

CH: Not too much. The deep, dark dirty secret is our fans are not disappointed. That’s a hard thing to say, right? There are three groups. There’s our fans, who say it’s only two years (off), we get to play Michigan here, it’s not like every year we’re not going to play them, it’s not that big a deal. Then there’s the media, bless their hearts, but it kills their self-serving jobs. What are you going to talk about on the radio if you don’t have the BYU-Utah game? What are you going to write about? And of course BYU wants us to play every year. But my job is what’s in the best interest of the University of Utah, and the Michigan game this year at our place will be the most-watched game out of Salt Lake City ever."

It probably might be the most watched game out of Salt Lake City. Not Provo, but probably Salt lake City.

I can also see that you are avoiding answering the question with respect to who exactly is upset or could be upset about the name fighting Illini, so I will take it as a concession that you don't really know.
