Chris Hill proving he is still a douche-bag and a liar. Cheap shot at BYU and a nice slight of hand saying he got Michigan to play instead of BYU, when the real switch was BYU for the mighty Fresno State Bulldogs.

A lot of media guys are killing him today, his one ally was the media but the fact that he called them self serving is not sitting well.

Jody Gennessy who doesn't even cover college football has called him a hypocrite about 10 times. He said everyone is self- serving of course the media wants BYU and Utah to play it's great for everyone involved. He also said Hill is a liar saying most site fans don't want it, that's Ute fans way of trying to demean BYU. The reality is Utah fans Are still obsessed with BYU and it shows all over every aspect of social media.

The real reason is that the good folks at the uofutah don't like the image of its fanbase that emerges from the rivalry game. Not a good move by the dr. Those guys need a release at least once a year

To be fair Utah was almost ahead in that game by 14 points! Yes they lost by 24, with Oregon taking 4 knees inside the 5 yard line to end the game, but they were that close to being ahead 14 points.

Chris hill says this stuff because he can. Yes he is twisting the screws on BYU but it is great trolling. How coincidental that basically the same day that hill reiterates that Utah has outgrown BYU, BYU announces a four game series with UVU!

This allegedly dumb person helped guide Utah into a p5 invite. Maybe Tom should be less intelligent like Chris hill and get a little more nasty. Of course it doesn't help that our football coach can't really figure out how to beat the Utes, either.

as for the media here, they are stupid anyway. They do a terrible job with both teams and never take coaches or admin to task when they fail. This is the result: you get a guy who is now insulting his main publicity arm.

Also, if you are going to have a break, do it while you are on a multi-year win streak. Then the break is way more painful for the rival fan base. He is no dummy.

During BYU's hey day when Utah was pretty much a given win, I would have gladly replaced the Utes with Michigan, Texas, ND, USC, UCLA, etc.

I could be wrong, but I think this kind of thinking by those at BYU is what could have contributed us to be outside looking in. We thought too highly of ourselves.

I will admit we have a great fan base, tradition and draw well. However, we aren't in Michigans league.

I get it- sincerely. What I don't get is 1. pretending that leaving BYU off the slate is in Utah's best interest and 2. pretending that they had to leave BYU off the slate in order to play Michigan. And that line about how the deep dark secret is that Utah fans aren't disappointed?

We have had to leave teams off the slate in order to play some big fish. One that comes to mind is switching out Idaho State/UNLV for Missouri. That's a switch. Now we could have ducked a Utah State or Boise game and pretended that was the trade-off and it would have been about the same thing we're talking about here.

I think the dropping of BYU if they were honest is they have nothing to gain by beating us a a lot to lose if they don't. I guess you could call that "chickening out".

There must be Utah fans that are dissapointed Utah isn't playing BYU. There are plenty of Utah fans where I play golf though and I have never heard one complain they aren't playing us. Maybe they also are afraid.

Whoa. Hill did not guide Utah to a P5 unless you are talking about hiring Urban which led to the undefeated season and BCS bowl. Then sure. But the fact of the matter Utah was just sitting there when Larry Scott thought that he had Texas and Oklahoma in the bag. He offered Colorado and they accepted immediately, Oklahoma and Texas stayed put and now he was stuck with Colorado and had to add someone. If he had withheld that invitation to Colorado and then learned that Texas and Oklahoma weren't coming the Pac would still have 10 teams today. It was more luck and circumstance than anything.
