I don't think this is anything new.

I seem to recall Kalani signing an alumni wall (or something like that) in the Student Athletic Building with "Go Utes" back when he was coaching there.

As much as fans like Wally want to pretend it's still the 20teens where utah could just line up and expect to push BYU around, those days are gone. I can only hope that the domination of ASU will have infused the Utah program with similar overconfidence. See, it's only tech that can do it to them...they still own the rest of the conference!

How many times in a row would we have to win before you would feel sheepish describing your next win as part of a previous time period to assert a dominance that no longer exists? For example, say we win 2 more before KW finally retires and Utah can win one again. Would you tout that next win as "6 out of the last 10"?

You won 9 in a row. It was awful as a BYU fan but you owned us. But your last win was 2019. 6 years ago. That's a lifetime in the current cfb world. Pre-covid and back when everyone was tricked into thinking the PAC 12 was maybe a good football conference.

I'm only trying to help. Clinging to that streak from a different lifetime only delays your acceptance of reality: the conditions that made that streak possible no longer exist. That is not good for your mental health. Anyway congrats on your first Big 12 home win. I do expect Saturday's game to be another classic.
