My main complaint about the game day atmosphere is the music volume and quantity. I wouldn't mind the fact that they play music incessantly if it wasn't so dang loud. I wouldn't mind it being loud during key aspects of the game (opening ceremonies, 4th quarter thing, etc.) if they didn't play so incessantly. But it's basically always on when they're allowed to have it on (must turn it off by rule when the offense lines up) and it's always super loud.

Sometimes I want to talk to my seatmates but the loud music makes it difficult to have a conversation. Same goes for the Marriott Center.

I guess I'm an old curmudgeon.

My problem isn't the volume, it's the choice of music. But I guess that also makes me an old curmudgeon.

When I was an activities chair in a BYU ward we held a ward dance at the Belmont Clubhouse. Our dances were awesome and frequently crashed by the other two ward located in the complex. On one occasion, we had a lady hop up on one of the end tables and proceed to get jiggy with it topless. Does that count?

She wasn't in our ward, but she was much hotter than your topless lady.

I brought a friend to the game who is a Michigan fan, non-LDS, and big college and NFL football fan overall. She was blown away by the gameday experience. I was too, frankly. I haven't been to a game in several years (maybe even longer). I was so impressed with how they have transformed the stadium experience. The difference between the old bulb-lit video boards and the new ones, including those that ring the top of the stadium, is so striking.

I felt the EXACT same way. I bought the All-Sport Pass, as it as known in my time, and football tickets were scattered around the stadium. I feel like they guaranteed you "good" seats for at least one FB game. But there was NO student experience, which is funny given that this college sports and the athletes are students themselves.

The way they have reorganized the ROC, combined with how enthusiastic and creative the ROC is, is such an awesome addition to the game. I LOVE the way they always sing along with the Kanye song anytime it is played (which is a lot).

I will say that I LOVE the music. Contrast the current experience with singing Popcorn Popping and throwing tortillas on the field.

One thing that cracks me up about the music is that many of the songs they choose would make the Q12 roll over in their padded chairs. I mean, they played the Kanye/Jay-Z classic N***as in Paris! AT BYU!!! No lyrics of course, but if you know the song, you know the song.

                        I love it.

Watched the recording of this game tonight. If I had a dollar for every time they showed Andrew Luck’s face I could probably retire early.

Also, the “rules guy” that they referenced “back in the booth” was terrible. He was so bad that Mrs Meanie, who normally just plays on her phone with supreme indifference to the game, commented on how awkward and dopey he sounded. Maybe the real “rules guy” was taking a leak at the exact wrong moment so they had to get some poor production intern on the mic and pretend to be the rules guy?

                            Extremely weak. Pathetic, really.

I watched the recording as well and noticed the same thing. I wondered when unconfident vacillation became a desirable trait in a rules expert.
