    He is.

I went boating during the Utah game. Perfect water until the very end. We got off the lake before the rain hit. Some of us decided to come to my place to watch the game and eat pizza. I hit the Draper Harmon's for ingredience and revelled in the depression of all the post-loss Utes wandering aimlessly. All looked depressed which warmed my heart.

They spent the last six months hearing how their poop don't stink, that Dampier is crazy talented, that their o-line is dominating, that Ja Beck is an offensive genius, and that last year was some kind of fluke. And they lapped it all up like a cat on cream. And acted again like league dominance was a given. The local and national media hopped on board as well. Today must have been a major shocker.
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Ok, overstated. They aren't terrible, say like UCLA. But they won't be in the upper tier of the Big 12.

Whoa, what about the Oakland A's??? The Halliday trade???

Texas Tech is undoubtedly very good. But if Utah was even partially as good as their hype they would have been at least a little competitive against them at home rather than looking mostly dead.

            • Interesting. Excuse making?

I assume it is true. This is the risk of using a QB upon whom a significant portion of the run game depends. Or one who spit balls a lot. Taysom was crazy awesome until he was out for the season.

Why wasn't he listed in the required injury report? Seems fine worthy.

Oh it gets better. First Whitt says this:

He's doing the best he could," Whittingham said. "Wasn't able to practice Tuesday or Wednesday, a little bit Thursday. I'm going to tell you that it definitely impacted Devon. But if you're out there, you've got to get it done, so we never use that as an excuse."
                  Then this:

"We believe in him completely, and he's without a doubt our quarterback," Whittingham said. "You can't panic off one game that was not up to par. And, again, we already talked about another reason why that may have been.

                    KWhit don't roll that way.

                      • If Dampier is significantly hobbled, Utah could go in the ditch at West Virginia. If he is near 100% they should be fine.

I wish him great health and poor performance!

This injury reporting fiasco is nothing less than a giant middle finger to the B12 by Kyle Whittingham. Why on earth do they do stuff like this?

That game was pretty evenly matched through three quarters. I still think they're a dangerous team.

I should have taken the over.
