Had they beat Norte Dame may have had at large bid. But since there not in power four conference unlikely to be in fbs playoffs. How will they do against Navy?
Will Goats Alma mater be on the outside looking in?

Army is having a spectacular and historical season. They didn't deserve to be in the playoffs at 12. I do think that Bryson Daily ought to be included in the group at the Downtown Athletic Club Saturday evening-just need the Army to fly him to NYC from Baltimore after the Army-Navy Classic in a UH-60.Originally posted by grapevine View PostHad they beat Norte Dame may have had at large bid. He is pretty impressive. I was disappointed to hear that he branched infantry. I think it would be even cooler if they flew him up in a CH-47, landing in Central Park and lowering the ramp so he can drive the rest of the way in a HMMWV painted with the USMC logo.Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View Post

Would have been great to see Army upset ND and take their spot in the playoff. But yes a great year regardless.Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View Post

You are disappointed that Bryson Daily will one day be leading the sons of America to assault enemy positions on foot?Originally posted by Copelius View Post

Look, Notre Dame can ESAD but obviously my beloved Black Knights are not a top 12 team. They gonna BEAT NAVY and finish this historic season in true ARMY TEAM fashion, but we are who we are.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View Post

True. He wasn't much of a passing threat so I guess it was a natural choice. Just a soft spot for the redlegs.Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View Post

That might have also prevented Clemson from getting in since they might have been the 6th-highest ranked conference champion (behind the Big 10, SEC, Mountain West, Big 12, AAC).Originally posted by Omaha 680 View Post

Is there a branch in the Army with a larger gap between the smartest and the dumbest soldiers? The FISTers are some of the smartest and most competent soldiers out there and then the gunbunnies are the dumbest sons of bitches that have ever walked the earth. When I was an S-1 for the last 1.5 years before I got out it seemed to me the majority of the legal action I had to track for Command and Staff meetings the MOS most frequently represented were the 13B's in our HowBat. I had 3 at one time for pending action after they took M-16s (one was the HowBat Armorer) and robbed a bank. Ran away into the adjacent woods, got disoriented and came out of the woods at the same place they went into the woods and met by a welcoming party of local cops.Originally posted by Copelius View Post

In my brief foray in the Army I was fortunate enough to work with the FISTers before I was shipped up to battalion staff after indicating my intent to leave after completing my initial time. So I never got to work directly with a 13B, except for my assigned driver when I was S-2. Hard worker, bless his heart, but "not a smart man."Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View Post

Army’s uniforms are awesome! Live the tribute to the 101st in Bastogne."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I liked them also - I liked the touch of having the various Regimental symbols on the helmets (which were on the helmets during WWII)Originally posted by Moliere View PostArmy’s uniforms are awesome! Live the tribute to the 101st in Bastogne.
As an aside, having worn that patch on my left shoulder - members of the 101st still wear the PUC awarded to the division for Bastogne over their left pocket when wearing Class A (or what ever they are calling that uniform now) and dress uniforms
too bad they lost though
I may be small, but I'm slow.
