There has not been a frosh as hyped after fall camp as Royce Freeman, Helfrich has continued Chip's closed practice policy, but it seems as though ever article I have read has mentioned him as the best player not named Marcus on offense. Tyner the Portland hero who showed flashes of brilliance last year said the other day that Freeman was far ahead at the same point last year.

I hate preseason hype, if this kid lives up the hype he will be the best RB Oregon has ever had. Now, if someone can just decide to be the go to receiver.

I don't really have anywhere else to rant so thanks for letting me do it here. What bothers me the most about the Oregon loss is that Mariota is likely the best player that Oregon will ever have play QB, and it has been squandered.

Triplet once messaged me after a close, ugly Oregon win and said something along the lines of "welcome to being on top, everyone comes for you" I think Oregon is still trying to learn how to play there. How to absorb teams best punches and keep winning. The question around town today is can Oregon stay on top long enough to learn how to? I've heard and seen a lot of comments today that last night was maybe the start of the end of being at the top of the conference every year. Helfrich is less liked than any coach who has ever started 15-5 through 20. There is a lot of uneasiness in Eugene right now, UCLA next week could cause total meltdown.

After the last two weeks, I would shocked if Oregon doesn't end up with a few more conference losses this year.

It appears to be the toughest top to bottom conference in the country IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if a two-loss Oregon team still represents the PAC in, at the very worst, a New Year's day bowl.
