The high school my kids attend virtually copied the logo of the University of Arizona. That seems fairly common with many high schools in Texas. What was worked out with Arizona was that the HS got to keep its colors and the block "A" on its football helmets and other uniforms and added the school macot (different from Arizona) along with the block "A" on T-shirts and other stuff. The similarites seem to help Arizona Wildcat sales since I've see a lot of kids wearing Arizona baseball caps with the block "A". I've ordered several "A" caps (U. of Arizona) over the years for my kids as Santa's helper.

I second DDD's "boo" to the Ducks pursuing a HS that is copying the logo. Isn't that what all HS teams do in some way?
