          At first I was afraid...

We only lose one kid, who would have redshirted next year in Eugene, and pick up a need at DL from USC. Keep the Robinson twins from a last minute defect. Steal a needed OL from Cal. Things are going to be alright in The Eug.

Now I can go back to worrying about how they are going to make the unis even cooler.

Today is a good day for the Ducks. Keeping the Robinson twins was a big deal. Nice to hear that there was only one defection from the class because of losing Chip Kelly and the concerns about bullshit penalties from the NCAA.

No doubt Urban Meyer is a good coach. I've watched a lot of college football over many decades and have followed both programs. Over my lifetime, Ohio State has to win a few more national championships to catch Nebraska.

Stop turning this thread about the greatness of the Oregon Ducks into a pissing match between Nebraska and tOSU.

A pox on Nebraska and tOSU.

I will never understand how you can root for a team that is the same conference as your "other" favorite team. I am guessing you also find your wifes sister attractive?

                      I posted in my lifetime...

                      Besides, let's look a little closer look at the 7 national titles OSU claims (1942, 1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, 1970, 2002).

                      1970:
There's no way OSU gets to claim 1970. That's so lame. As I have to remind my Longhorn colleagues. If you lose the Cotton Bowl by 13 points to Notre Dame, you don't get to claim a national championship. If you lose the Rose Bowl by 10 points to a 9-3 Stanford team, you don't get to claim a national championship! Nebraska has sole claim to the 1970 national title.

                      1961:
Alabama goes 11-0 and defeats Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl. Ohio St. goes 8-0-1 while Minnesota plays in the Rose Bowl. Both the AP (writers) and UPI (coaches) poll vote Alabama #1. Exactly how does OSU have a claim?

                      1957:
If Ohio St. goes 9-1 and Auburn goes undefeated at 10-0, that title goes to Auburn regardless of how the coaches vote.

                      1942:
Ohio St is 9-1 and Georgia is 11-1. Maybe we should go with the Rose Bowl winner (Georgia 9 UCLA 0). But then the Buckeyes did have that 41-12 convincing win over Iowa Pre-Flight to end their season. AP Poll still votes OSU #1 but still....

                              I dated my wife's sister.

I lived in Oregon and started watching the Ducks and they became my secondary team during that time. At the time the Utes weren't in the same conference.

Also, the Utes are not competing with the Ducks and probably never will be competing with the Ducks. The Utes aren't going after the same recruits and aren't playing on the same level, i.e. we don't have an Uncle Phil.

If the Utes are lucky they will win the Pac-12 South once every 4-5 years. If the Utes are lucky they will go to the Rose Bowl once every 10-15 years. The Ducks are contenders for the Rose Bowl every year.

If the Utes play the Ducks, I want the Utes to win the game. If the Ducks losing a game benefits the Utes, I'll pull for the team the Ducks are playing.
