No. He was running upfield with the ball.

No one is getting fired. BYU has depth issues and can't compete deep into a B12 season because injuries decimate our ability to compete. This shouldn't be news to anyone. Job number one is to shore up recruiting which will take two or three years. We also need a major upgrade in offensive line talent.

I can't imagine the takes on CB today regarding Kalani.

What specifically do you think Kalani is failing at that another coach would do better? Recruiting? Right now he is dealing with Whittingham gobbling up the recruits we need and an NIL program that hasn't been able to compete with them yet. BYU's recruiting budget will improve with Big-XII money, but it takes time. I feel like a lot of his bone headed decisions on the field are done in desperation as he knows we lack talent to compete.

What did Lavell Edward contribute to?

What are these consistent coaching problems you are talking about? Seems there have had ups and downs on both sides of the ball, with more ups than downs over that period.

My personal take is that the Oline needs to be addressed. Funk should go at the end of the season. ARod has proven himself in the past. I think if we get the oline addressed his offenses start humming again granted competition is tougher now in the Big XII. Give Hill some time and his recruits to come in to see where he is at.

I think Kalani is the right man for the job. He is doing what I expect a head coach to do which is mostly be an ambassador for the program. I don’t need the head coach to be involved in the X/Os. Establish a culture and surround yourself with the right men for the job.

This was probably our worst team peformance overall. Definitely the worst by the defense. Bad tackling. No pressure whatsoever on the QB. The OL was bad, but they've been bad all season. I liked Retzlaff's gunslinger throws; if he can add some touch and accuracy on the deep balls, he can be really good. I'm still mad about the non-targeting calls on our WRs. They should have at least been reviewed. But, how the heck was Chase Roberts allowed back into the game? That looked like a clear-cut concussion. Shame on BYU for allowing him back in. Health takes #1 priority over winning and playing time.
