Well that sucked. Our defense is bad. We can’t get pressure even when we blitz and the one time we get to the QB he escapes from the tackle of three different people. Thankfully the offense showed up.

Kalanis decisions are mind boggling sometimes. I understand our kickers suck so I’m good going for it in their territory but not in our own territory.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I’ll defend that decision. When you have less than one yard and you don’t trust your defense, going for it is absolutely the right call. Possessions are precious.

Bummer we couldn’t do the darn center snap.

When your defense isn't stopping anyone, go for anything close. Kick an onside. Fake the punt.

Hey guys, BYU‘s defense gave up the same number of points that Alabama’s defense did today.

I’m not sure that would have been fun.

Two things of interest from the twitterverse.

First, Kalani says there was no call on that fourth and one. The objective was to draw them offsides. Center saw something and snapped it, catching Jaren by surprise.

Second, Kalani is saying he has decisions to make as a head coach. This clearly catches the ear of those wanting coaching changes.

Same. I just finished. So painful. The defense is horrific to the point of making it unwatchable. Puka and Epps were great. We have no kicking game.

I vehemently disagree with running Nacua between the tackles - especially more than once. It's a recipe to have him out injured the rest of the season. I get that you want to get the ball into the hands of your playmakers, but I'd much prefer that they find ways to get the ball to him in space.

There's more substance to swiss cheese than what the defense was displaying today. How many 3 and outs? Zero. How many punts forced? One. How many 3rd-down conversions surrendered? 12 of 15 - 80%! Total sacks? Zero. Tackles for loss? One, by Nelson.

They didn't stop the run - 277 yards on 6.6 yards per rush. They didn't stop the pass - 367 yards at 9.2 yards per attempt.

That stat sheet shows 80 total tackles, but there must have been at least another 120 missed tackles - including about 10 missed tackles on a single play that should have been a big sack.

Such a demoralizing game that I don't even feel up to giving the props to Epps that he deserves.

Running Nacua is like the Niners with Deebo Samuel. He is good at it, but it scares me he is going to get hurt. Trying to get they ball in the hands of your best players.

Apparently he have no healthy running backs on the roster worth anything at this point. Has the recruiting in that position really been that bad?
