I was in the North EZ stands with my dad that game. Remember that play distinctly. Ugh."Seriously, is there a bigger high on the whole face of the earth than eating a salad?"--SeattleUte

Sadly, that's one of his most memorable plays for me. My seat for that game was on the west sideline.Originally posted by Donuthole View Post
Don’t know if he ever fumbled, but he dropped a wheel-route TD on the first play of the Holy War which we then lost in OT, allowing Utah to become bowl eligible. Which gave rise to a year of Brett Ratliff/ redshirt year of Brian Johnson, and this the Sugar Bowl. So much worse than a fumble."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

I had long since truly forgiven because that play didn't even enter into my mind when I was thinking about ranking our RBs. But you have opened the wound anew.

Was there someone relevant on that list who was faster than Jamaal? (I didn't go and look up everyone's stats - my statement of why I voted for Jamaal over Harvey is just my perception of Jamaal's speed.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostUmmmmm…….
Random Curtis Brown memory: He destroyed UNLV back in the Crowton years but BYU still lost. He had something like 100+ yards on fewer than 10 carries. That fact that BYU didn't feed him the ball and just run up and down the field is, well, it's just mind-bogglingly bad football. So Crowtonesque...

I was conflicted between Harvey, Jamaal, and Tyler. Harvey was such a freaking wrecking ball. I remember when he first started getting touches between Tonga and Fui and absolutely wrecking dudes bc he had speed as well. His TD vs Utah after 4th and 20 was so gratifying, too. I ended up going w J. Williams, though. I think he just had another gear and a bit bigger body of work. Also, the progress he made between seasons was unbelievable."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

I was in the end zone near that play. It was so demoralizing-- that was a shoo-in TD.Originally posted by Donuthole View Post

Yes! Only Harvey gets special consideration for the number of Steve Tates put on their asses.Originally posted by Bo Diddley View Post
Your poll rightly implies that they are all vying for second place. Luke is the all time great.
Harvey and Baby J are almost equal in my mind. I gave Williams the edge because he played tougher competition.

if my memory is right, we came back to that play to open the second half. It wasn’t a TD but a big gain. And yes, that play was a back breaker.Originally posted by Donuthole View Post

For the discussion, I’d rank the backs:
1) Jamaal
2) Allgier
3) Unga
Those top three are fairly close and I could argue Unga or Allgier for 2/3. But Jamaal was the best back of the group. He also played with the worst QBs of the group and still produced where Allgier and Unga benefitted from better QB play IMO. At least more consistently.
