Let's see ... OSU has defeated a No. 1 USC twice in the last six years, took an undefeated Utah to the brink of defeat in 2008 and has been in the driver's seat for a Rose Bowl bid two years running before losing to Oregon. I think it's folly to look at ANY game OSU plays and count on a defeat, much less a blowout.

OSU always plays poorly early...I think they are going to get worked and then do well in the Pac 10 again. My feeling is just based on how they typically do.

The only people supporting Boise outside of Ada County is Vegas. McShay and Kiper just blasted them. The guys on CFL blasted them. First Take guys were blasting them. I don't get it.

haha...well I think I will side with Vegas on this. Funny how they forget how Boise finished last year and they have 21 out of 22 starters back. I think they are ripping them because they are afraid that if Boise wins against Va Tech and the Beavers they will end up in the NC game and so they are starting early to sway the pollsters. Look for this to continue all season especially when Boise is playing their WAC schedule and beating everyone by 60.

I am certainly not going to blast BSU, but I think they lose a close tight game to the hokies. I think the home field will get them along with the hokes defense. I think TCU wins a squeaker for the same reasons the hokies win. I am pulling for UNC big time over LSU. And I hope every team from the big 10 loses.

I'm going to find myself at my mother-in-law's house opening weekend without any sports stations or internet. Not excited about this situation. She has Direct TV, but has some sort of weird package that carries mostly Spanish speaking channels (she is South American). My only choices are the local ABC and CBS affiliates and for some odd reason the Mtn. The think the Utah-Pitt game is on Versus and the BYU-Wash game is on CBSC. Bummer.

I think UNC's D will keep them in the game. UNC might have the most talented D in college football this year. If they had a QB worth a damn they would make a run for a title.

Both Todd McShay and Mel Kiper said UNC has the most NFL talent on their team this years. They did clarify that this all depends on who may or may not get suspended though. If UNC had a qb I think they could make a run for a championship this year. I am looking forward to that UNC LSU game.

Edit: I am not looking forward to it anymore. UNC will lose 4 starters on D. 3 of the 4 were projected in the first round of next years draft.

According to VegasInsider.com's Christian Alexander, North Carolina will suspend four defensive starters for next week's Week 1 showdown against LSU. The suspensions will likely be for more than one game and possibly the entire season.

In fact, Alexander says that senior cornerback Charles Brown has been kicked off the team.

The three other players are DE Marvin Austin, LB Bruce Carter and DE Robert Quinn.

For most of the summer, the line for this game has wavered from pick 'em to one team or the other favored by one. On Thursday, a number of books moved LSU to a two-point favorite, while other betting shops pulled the game off the board.

For bettors that can still get down on LSU at anything south of three, this space is highly recommending making a wager on the Tigers right now. When this news becomes official, the line will likely move north of three, possibly to as high as four.

UNC and LSU will collide next Saturday night at the Ga. Dome in Atlanta.
