I think continuity is important for a kid when he is making his college choice. Face it he is committing to the coaching staff as much if not more so than he is to the University.
You make a good point that kids commit to a coach first and the school 2nd. At the same time, high school kids change their mind about things all the time, so they may not have as many hangups about it as we might.

I know that Roderick's wife was and will still be an assistant on the women's soccer team. I just meant a few here who were throwing out the silly PMS comments.

As I said, I'd rather see Roderick at Utah than Washington, so this works for me.

I was just joking, I hope I didn't offend anyone.

Part of me wants to dismiss him as a flake. Then I remember all those dropped wide open passes by Huskies, particularly against BYU, and all those amazing catches by Ute receivers. I'm especially thinking of those catches by David Reed, once upon a time a totally worthless Juco, leaping fingertip catches for the near end of first half TD against BYU and the right side two yard first and goal against Alabama, and final killer over the middle TD pass against Alabama. And I realize the guy is a pretty damn good WR coach. So be it.

You do know he holds the JUCO record for receptions in a season, right?

Good grief, hang out with the family for a bit and I miss this drama.....

This is odd. But, better a Ute than a Husky.
I bet he's pissed that gave up the chance at OC/co-OC.

              Kyle, slay the fatted calf.

I heard some of an interview with Locke and I got the impression that Roderick was kind of relieved to not be the OC. He seemed to be happy that KW welcomed him back into the fold.

This morning during the updates on 1320 they said he would be Co-OC but he would not call plays.

This guy sounds flaky. It won't be long before he's arrested at a Wendy's drive-thru at 3:00 a.m. with no clothes on.

The best recruiter in the West at least according to Jake Heaps. Also Doman is not OC, he has NFL experience and he was actually good in his playing days.

If that is not a ringing endorsement then I don't know what is. BCS school talking:
Coach: Yeah, we are thinking of hiring Doman, you know, Jake Heaps thinks he may be the best recruiter in the West.
Asst. Coach: Well, if Jake thinks it, wait, does Jake think he is a better recruiter than Roderick?
Coach: Jake thinks Doman is the best recruiter in the West.
Asst. Coach: Good enough for me, hire him!

He also has less coaching experience than Roderick. Sure it was at SUU but Roderick was an offensive coodinator. I'm not defending the choice of Roderick as the OC, I've made my opinions known on that. But Doman had zero coaching experience when he was hired as QB coach, which is basically second only to the OC on offense.

Ability as a player has little to do with coaching ability and playing in the NFL is nothing more than something you can sell to recruits.

If Roderick is nothing more than a graduate assistant than so is Doman.

How does junkie square his snarkiness with on-field results?

Max Hall? Sophomore QB removed from football for 3 years comes in and throws for 3800 yards and 25 tds. How about his junior year where he threw for 3800 yards and 36 tds. Top 15 pass efficiency in the nation? How about the strides John Beck made from his Jr to Sr year becoming a 2nd round NFL draft pick?

Also MPfunk playing in the NFL means a lot more than you think. Name one NFL head coach that did not play in the NFL? I can think of one and he just got fired Jon Gruden.
