    Bringing it strong.

Like JT's jump shot, we are lost without YOu.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

      Max Hall?
Max Hall? The QB who can't keep track of jersey color when playing against a good defense?

      That Max Hall?

      Good stuff Junk.

The Max Hall that had a higher pass efficiency than Brian Johnson. That Max Hall.

This seriously makes me laugh though it would be like me coming back with

"Aaron Roderick? Seriously the guy that couldnt even keep one of his starting receivers sober?"

So holding a clipboard as third string in the NFL suddenly makes you significantly more qualified to be a college assistant coach? Is the clipboard experience in the NFL that much greater than being an OC at SUU?

Oh, that Max Hall who performed so well vs. above average defenses.

As opposed to Brian Johnson who steadily progressed all season and refused to wilt under pressure.

Thank god for such great coaching, otherwise Max would have really sucked.

Maybe BJ should have spent Thursdays watching 'The Office' instead of studying upcoming opponents. That was likely Coach Doman's idea, right?

Yeah considering as a third string QB you relay the plays and signals in to the quarterback. Do you no realize how complex the NFL is? Ask any college player and they will tell you that they learn more in one training camp in the NFL then they have in their whole college careers. If Doman doesnt know what he is doing why was he Utah States first choice as OC? Over Aaron Roderick.

Face it SUU is not much better than running a highschool offense.

UCLA had the 8th best pass defense in college football, He threw for 7 tds against them. Yep that Max Hall.

By the way continue ripping the teams BYU played that makes Utahs season look even better.

I know BYU played such a shitty schedule. Seriously what a joke who cant put up big numbers against those crappy defenses?

How many common opponents did BYU and Utah have? 9? No wonder you get no respect from the big boys.

                        What are you talking about?

A QB with obvious talent is made to look foolish against 3 of the 4 good defenses he faced all year? It seems there is an element of coaching at play here. Especially after the TCU game. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out what a good defense would try and do. Maybe Doman prepped him out of even bigger disasters.... Who knows...

Just a quick reminder, Doman is not the O-coordinator. He is the qb coach. Also like I said before if he sucked why was he the first call made by Gary Anderson when he became USUs head coach?

Also he did play like crap against TCU and Utah. But in order

                          Total Defense rank:

24th Arizona: 30-47 328 yards 1 td, 1 int (that was clearly on Collie and everyone that watched that game will tell you that)

                          38th Wyoming: 16-27 189 yards, 3 tds 0 ints

                          45th New Mexico: 23-34 259 yards, 3tds, 0 ints

                          47th UCLA: 27-35 271 yards, 7tds, 1 int

                          50th Air Force: 28-37 354 yards, 2 tds, 1 int

That is 5, top 50 defenses, those sure look like crappy numbers to me.

                            This is interesting:

                            vs top 50 defenses:

                            Max Halls total numbers:

                            166-229 for 1879 yards 16tds and 9 ints, pass efficiency of 156.6.

                            vs top 50 defenses

                            Brian Johnsons total numbers:

117-184 for 1315 yards, 9 tds and 3 ints pass efficiency of 136.5

By the way Max Hall faced 7 top 50 defenses, BJ only faced 5.

So including the TCU and Utah debacle Max Hall still fared better against good defenses.

I'm not making any comments on their relative coaching abilities. I like Roderick as a WR coach, but don't like him as a coordinator. I'm just commenting on your graduate assistant claim. I don't think that Doman's resume is so far ahead of Roderick's to justify calling one a GA without calling the other a GA. By all accounts Doman seems to be a good coach.

                                BJ: 5-0
                                MH: 4-3

                                Yes, the choice is clear.
