FWIW, on Mike and Mike, Herbstreit mentioned only BYU as a replacement for aTm.

    • BYUdeepthrowt is killing me right now. I wish the clown on CB who is managing that Twitter account would stop.

I stopped following that guy. He has been so wrong on so many things and there is no way he is part of the AD office.

          • We will never know how the process worked in how this thing went down.

I flat out guarantee you if we don't join, there will be some "rally the troups" statement about independence and the "faithful" will just have to believe the "leaders" are doing the right thing. Trust them with the "you will be very pleased with the great things we have going on". Of course they then expect everyone to rely on that great characteristic all mormons have, an abundance of faith in their leaders.

If they turn down a BIG12 bid and if they don't announce a block buster type home schedule in the next couple of months, I am out of faith. You have to remember how long I have been around listening to the "trust us" bull shit.

If I posted this on CB I would get the "don't let the door hit you in the butt" comment and the "good, I will get to move up in the seating" comment. They and any one else on this board have good reason to say that if I am the only one who feels this way. My contribution to the CC is like a drop in the ocean. I do know a few though whose drops are much bigger. They feel like I do. Whether they really would act on what they say, who knows.

              Don't let the door.....!

No, I don't think you are alone. I think there is a large number of CC members that have been waiting for this opportunity for years. I really hope that BYU doesn't screw the pooch on this one.

                  • Remember it is a negotiation and Vikings source is from the TX side of the deal.

BYU is stonewalling this deal. If you want this to change, call the Athletic Dept. Email, too.

                      This is NUTS
I don't believe this for one second. If anything, the Utah game should have shown BYU the vulnerability of being independent. Don't play well, and you are immediately irrelevant. Your deal with ESPN is worth nothing if the whole country gets to observe you have a bad football team.

I think Tom Holmoe knows this and the stonewalling is a negotiation tactic. With the state of the team at the moment, BYU can't afford to have 2 or 3 seasons of mediocre play without jepoardizing any future opportunities with the mothership. Going to the Big 12 is insurance against our coaches (specifically Doman). Additionally, I believe ESPN will push BYU towards the Big 12 as the current deal doesn't look so hot now. The Utah game might have been a blessing in disguise.

Boy, you really suck at the silence game. Just last night you were here, though I guess your perspective of silence is when you are sleeping.

You do have convictions, I'll give you that. You've resigned from this thread all of 10 hours.
