Yes, more specific: There are powers that be that think we can be ND.

What they are missing is the huge "missionary" opportunity by being in the midwest.

I actually considered reactivating my account (pun intended) on Cougarboard to get an email effort going but I can't think of doing that. Someone should, however.

This is 100% for real. As my buddy told me this AM, "you guys are looking a gift horse in the mouth".

    • I'm OK with BYU waiting a few days until OU and Tejas work out their differences and come up with a big penalty (50 million?) for leaving the conference during the next 5 years.

Hopefully BYU is letting it be known that they want in -- they just want to know what exactly they will be getting in to. Agreed that a 5 year commitment should be plenty.

        This is NUTS
Why would BYU jump to the Big 12 right now? Last year the Big 12 announced that essentially had a ten year commitment from their members and then one year later we see aTm jumping ship to the SEC. BYU could come to the Big 12, dropping a lot of the games they have worked hard to get on the schedule (excluding Weber St), only to have OU and UT jump to some other conference in a year. IMHO, BYU needs to:

        (1) get a blood oath from UT and OU that they are committed to the Big 12 for at least five years.

        and, maybe,

        (2) only bring football for the 2012-2013 season to the Big 12. Keep the non-football sports in the WCC for a bit longer.

          BYU--------->

This will be THE most idiotic thing ever done if BYU acts all prom girl when we are in the hotel and Big 12 is anxious to move into being bed buddies...

How can we trust his information if we can't trust him to stick to his vow of silence?

It would seem pretty asinine for the Big 12 to give BYU an exploding invitation (sign by 5:00 today or you're out) when they are still trying to figure out who the Big 12 is.

Although it wouldn't be the first wacky thing we've heard in the last month.

Conference penalties are only good if there is a conference left to pay it to. UT and OT could easily blow up a 10 team Big 12 on their way out.

Well, BYU is not just any prom girl. She is a prom girl with parents and a bishop waiting for a detailed report of the date. She definitely wants to wait for marriage vows.

Another wacky suggestion is that BYU fans can force BYU administrations hand via emails and phone calls.

You guys dont know how many emails i sent trying to prevent Margaret Thatcher from speaking at Tuesday devotional. I voted with my feet but it was still a huge w.a.s.t.e. of time.

                        • This tweet made me laugh. B12 better not touch our Food Nanny and Generations Project revenue!

@ChipBrownOB volatility is an issue, but so is BYUtv content and potential revenue share as it expands. B12 objection to LHN is troubling.

                          • The Big 12 conference needs someone like Mitt Romney to replace Dan Beebe. You guys that have Mitt ties need to call him now.

Now deepthrowt is tweeting Chip Brown. LOL.

Bull. If you really knew this you would have made it on your first post back, which you didn't. You waited until Chip tweeted and then piggy backed on his tweet. You're now just stirring the pot. Go back to your chalk circle.
