  • I will take a partnership with Ok and Texas. All the crap they are pulling isn't good, but if we got in the PAC12 we would be in bed with Stanford and Cal. which would be worse.

WE were on our way to irrelevance and maybe we still are if we don't get in. However, if we do that is bad for the PAC12 and there TV market share in Utah. A large part of Utah will be following the BIG12, not the PAC12.

That isn't smack either. I won't talk smack. WE got hammered 54-10.

Having two teams in major conferences would be incredible for the state of Utah. So cool.

I was hoping he was right. Way to go SU.

I think in that case, both schools are ahead in net viewers. The more interest in college football in the state, the better it is for both programs. They still have to win, after all.

Ah geez. Take your fight elsewhere. We finally got a glimmer of good news.

Agree with everything you say except the "have to win" part, for obvious reasons.

This is definitely jumping the gun, but if this somehow works out for the B.Y., Utah becomes a unique anomaly in college football, being the only contiguous metro area that is affiliated with two BCS conferences.

While other states can make such a claim (Clemson/south Carolina, Pitt/Penn state, Florida/Miami/Florida state, iowa state/iowa, for example) I don't believe any of those schools are anywhere near the geographic proximity as BYU and Utah...40 or so miles would separate the two schools and the two conferences.

What a great group of weekends it would be if you went to Salt Lake for a Utah/USC game, then drove back to Provo for a BYU/Oklahoma game. I hate to even imagine it though... so far this has felt like the excitement of Christmas Eve... followed by the house burning down. That would just about ruin the holiday forever, which is how good news is taken right now.
