That's actually what I meant. I think 11 and 12 will be announced sooner than later. I also think it will be Louisville and WVU. I bet the Big 12 is hoping that if they announce early the Big East will capitulate and allow them out before 27 months. I don't think it will be 2012, but by 2013 there will be a CCG in JerryWorld."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

If BYU were truly not interested, why the radio silence? When all got hot and heavy a couple of weeks ago, they called a press conference almost immediately. Things change, OU postures, Beebe out, iron clad contract, BYU is stated all over the media to be #10 and still silence? Why not just have a press conference that says, "BYU loves independence and the WCC and will not be joining the Big XII"?
This doesn't add up."Don't expect I'll see you 'till after the race"

This guy has claimed inside sources for a long time on CB

He has been saying forever that BYU rejects an invite. Too many conflicting reports out there for him to throw this out.

I don't know. I hope so. There's no point to speaking with anyone on BYU's side, and they wouldn't tell me anyway.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostDitteaux.
With a slight mod: 2 more teams announced very soon...but not able to join for a year or two.
My money is on Louisville and the Maniacs, which is what I wanted all along. Almost heaven....West Virginia....
The B12 is a muy enfermo basketball conference when all of this shakes out and based on current power rankings, it is apparently the best football conference, too.
All told, not a bad gig. And btw, how about a raise to 18MM a year?
If it weren't for Cecil admonishing the faithful to not lose any sleep, I would think Doccoug had a point...
At this point, I'm not losing any sleep and I think that BYU is not going to the B12, but who the hell knows?Last edited by Viking; 09-25-2011, 03:54 PM.

Agreed. You don't want malcontents sticking around if they have both feet out the door.Originally posted by Surfah View PostThat's actually what I meant. Didn't the B12 let Colorado leave early to start PAC play? Or am I off on that?
My stab at the new B12 alignment given the geography of the new schools:
West
Baylor
BYU
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Texas
Texas Tech
East
Kansas
Kansas State
Iowa State
Louisville
Missouri
West Virginia
However, there is a major imbalance in football especially
Another scenario is a loosey goosey North South as follows
North
BYU
Kansas
Kansas State
Iowa State
Missouri
West Virginia
South
Baylor
Louisville
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Texas
Texas TechFitter. Happier. More Productive.

I think a North/South division is more likely. The East/West thing is intriguing though. That football imbalance shifts for hoops.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostAgreed. You don't want malcontents sticking around if they have both feet out the door.

BYU is probably doing the right thing and telling them "no" in person.Originally posted by Surfah View PostFitter. Happier. More Productive.
