Next time you are back in rio, pick this up for me...I'll pay you back. My copy exploded in my computer this week while I was converting it to MP3.Originally posted by Viking View PostBTW, coincidentally, I am in Provo today.
btw, am I the only one here that has a little bit of a pit in my stomach about BYU...leaving independence?
I know we have UC Upstate Downtown Technical scheduled in September next year, so BIG XII would bring in some nice games home (which is looking like I will be back in town for a while), but, what happens if the "big" XII blows up and OU and UT defect to some other conference with TT; Mizzou and the Ks decide to join up with some other hot chick and we find ourselves with Baylor, "I'm a Man", and fields of dreams. Before you know it, we got Houston and the 120 heat index, SMU (though I would love to see us ride that pony), and New Mexico State, if we are lucky. That would suck...well, the pony ride would be nice.
I would love to see OU and UT sucking wind at the foot of Miss Timp while heaps lives up to his name, but I fear that we would only see this once before we got the ugly chick in the el camino who has crotch rot and razor burn on her upper lip.
I just think our home next year is about to burn to a crisp, and our homeowners policy sucks.
Signed...dc
oh, go to my ol' stomping ground sometime and ask for a cachorro quente with mashed potatoes, batata palhas and catupiri on it."Don't expect I'll see you 'till after the race"
"So where does the power come from to see the race to its end...from within"

Yes, you're the only one longing for independence.

To me it's incredibly premature to even want to be in the B12. Texas's deal to keep the conference together screwed everybody but Texas. There is just about no real guaranteed money in the conference, and it is likely that Oklahoma, Ok State, and Texas Tech will leave for a difference conference.
I just can't imagine that BYU would want to join a B12 that has SMU knocking on the door as well. If you lose A&M and the other 3 mentioned (rumors Mizzou could bounce as well), they would be stepping back into another MWC/WAC situation.
The B12 is a wounded baby hippo, all the while the lions are licking their chops, and the vultures are circling overhead.

What a fresh steaming pile of horseshit. These relationships have earned us an away, home, away with ND and a bunch of Friday night games with Utah State and SJSU. And apparently Oregon State is now bailing on us.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostBYU's Web of Relationships.
http://www.riseup801.com/2011/08/byu....html?spref=twPart of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
