Are these idiots aware that the Pac 12 is not a better football conference than the Big 12? The record between the conferences doesn't bear that out, the TV ratings don't bear that out, and the number of high level recruits coming out of Big 12 areas eclipse that coming out of the Pac 10. I understand that Texas and Oklahoma leaving will put a dent in that, but not moreso than USC and UCLA leaving. Also, there's no evidence that Oklahoma is anywhere close to what it was with Stoops and Riley at the helm. Texas may be back on the rise with Arch Manning, but we'll have to see, I'm not a believer in Sarkisian. Meanwhile USC has their best coach since Pete Carroll. Even UCLA is looking frisky right now.
If the Pac 10 has the superior product, then why are the networks disinterested in paying them for it? What a bunch of dummies.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”Comment
