Nobody is making light of this dark chapter in our country's history. In any event, I have understood B 12 expansion is an important issue to you all, and in fact my point has been that there are serious issues that need to be addressed by BYU that transcend fan base. Sorry if you take offense.

You are misrepresenting that picture. Everyone on that picture was evacuated. Also, I'm not sure the successful and unprecedented American evacuation of all Americans in Saigon and hundreds of thousands of refugees to the United States can be fairly characterized as "sad".

Adding UCF will help Kansas State

Central Florida is a breeding ground for top athletes and an area Kansas State would love to sink their recruiting teeth into. UCF has cultivated their program with 3-star athletes, some JUCO transfers, and hand-fulls of high school recruits that aren’t on any national radar. Does any of this sound familiar Kansas State fans?

I am sure perennially ranked Kansas State is sleepless with anticipation over the thought of replicating the success of Central Florida.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.CSU's exodus from the Mountain West to a Power 5 conference appears to be further away than some have hoped.
Formal digital communication between Colorado State University and the Big 12 doesn't exist.
Earlier this week I intended to write a column looking at the pros and cons of schools the Big 12 could consider should it choose to expand: CSU, Boise State, Brigham Young, Houston, and the most likely candidate, Cincinnati. In preparing to do so, I contacted CSU's public relations office to ask the question I have regularly since December 10, 2014.
"Has CSU had any communication with conferences other than the Mountain West about membership?"
CSU said it doesn't comment on speculation. That prompted me to file an open records request Wednesday morning to see if there has been any digital communication to or from the Big 12 office and CSU.
That request was returned Friday morning, informing me what I was looking for doesn't exist.
