Good discussion, JIC. Thanks for bringing this up.

I decided many years ago that I was no longer willing to let the collective efforts of a bunch of young men engaging in a game (the outcome of which I have zero control) to influence my sense of well-being and outlook on life. It is, after all, just a game.

Furthermore, when I see someone here taking the rivalry to a personal level, I think to myself "what an idiot". It really is a sign of immaturity.

To me, this place is first and foremost a community. I value and enjoy my Ute friends (SU, JIC, LA Ute, Solon, YOhio, etc.) every bit as much as my BYU friends.
