If one could contract it from proximity, I would have been singing show tunes years ago. I remember walking into my first post-mission apartment @ the Elms and hearing one of my roommates (whom I didn't know at the time) talking to one of his friends on the phone. I was convinced the dude was gay after only a few sentences (not that there's anything wrong with that). He was in the "University Singers" and talked like Dana Carvey's character from the late 80s SNLs, "Lyle the Effeminate Heterosexual" -- just completely flamboyant. Turns out the guy was very hetero and in fact, tapped major ass (in a semi-BYU approved way, that is). I'd come home late at night, the lights would be off, and he'd be on the floor with some University Singer chick rolling around. Then a couple nights later the same thing would happen, only with a different girl from choir. It reminds me of Tina Fey talking about sexually active band geeks with a BYU honor code flavor.

i lived with a theater major last semester and while he brought home a different girl every night, they were each uniquely and offensively hideous. if they weren't at byu, they'd most likely listen to insane clown posse. i think i would contend uvu has a higher concentration of attractive girls than byu these days.
