i agree about weapons...man that offense is stacked. juJu and Adoree look ready to make an impact as true freshman. Nelson and Darius are going to have good years and George Farmar is finally healthy. Tre madden comes back in a few weeks, too. And on defense they were playing without the Baby Saver, whom I expect to return at some point.

Big test next week against the Farm.
I missed Max Browne, but I have the game recorded. Wasn't going to watch the 4th quarter but will now based on your comments. The other guy who really impressed me was Allen - he looked much more explosive than I remember from last year.

wazzou looks bad, Kal will be bad, and Colorado looks abysmal. Seriously Colorado absolutely sucks at football. What is the problem??
Tough to judge from only one week, but Cal and Zona look improved. I think Utah gets bowl eligible. They'll beat Fresno, Wazzu, Oregon State, and Colorado. They just need one more.

I am not sure they beat Oregon State in Cornvalley, the Beavs have a great QB and will still win 7+ games. For some reason OSU just sucks against FCS teams in opening week.

I agree. I'm not sure utah beats Oregon state. I'm not even sure they beat Fresno state truthfully. We don't know anything about this utah team based off game 1. Check that...we do know that Wilson is prone to throw picks, utah lost a lot of talent from a team that didn't seem very talented anyway, and there are no new impact players that are likely to make a 2-3 win difference this season. So I am doubtful that the utes get bowl eligible.

You guys would know better than i, so I'm on board. Utes are toast. I like coach Riley so I'd be thrilled if they win. Fresno looked awful but it could've just been the competition they were up against.

So are Adore and Juju both full-time WRs? I seem to remember their being mostly recruited for defense.

Juju played safety at Poly but was basically an ATH that played both sides of the ball. Adoree was similar at serra. When they committed it was thought that they would be defensive players but it was clear that both wanted a shot to play on offense. Based on most reports JuJu was one of the stars of fall camp and it became apparent that he was going to play offense. His play yesterday validates that decision. Adoree didn't have as strong of a camp as Juju but still did well. I'm guessing we will see adoree more on defense and JuJu more on offense.

Sc is one of many programs that assigns many of the same numbers for offense and defense but sark did not assign anyone else 9 (juju) or 2 (adoree) which seems to indicate that they will play both sides. Also they are listed as hybrids. Adoree as CB/WR and juju as S/WR.

Also interesting that adoree was given Robert woods number and juju has Marquise's number. If these two can be remotely as productive they will have amazing careers at heritage hall.

im just excited to see so much speed again. It is only one game in and I'm clearly biased but I think there is good reason to believe they will be special players.

mama started. He flew under the radar but true frosh generally don't start at sc at that position.

Mama was dominant at times. I tend to think he's probably too big, but he's a very good football player.

I watched a little of the USC/Fresno game last week - USC looks much faster than last year. I didn't get to watch UCLA/UVA, but my money is on USC taking the South.

Also, shame on people for sleeping on Oregon State. They always suck in Week #1, slowly improve over the year until they are one of the best teams in the conference, and then lose to Oregon by 40.

I only caught a little of the USC/Fresno St. game as well. The Trojans looked good but not sure how much of that is due to Fresno St. making them look good. Nebraska travels to CA to play Fresno St. in a couple of weeks and at least pre-season Fresno St. was profiled to be something of a "trap" game for the Huskers on the road. Now after week 1, I'm thinking Nebraska/Fresno St. may not be all that close. Nebraska looked much better than they are against Florida Atlantic. Wonder if that applies to USC as well but everything I've read pre-season indicated Fresno St. would be decent. Maybe USC is that good. The annual USC/UCLA game could mean something this year not just for the PAC-12 but for the play-offs.

I think the improvement at USC will be dramatic. Kiffin was a fantastic recruiter and one of the worst coaches in the country. That's a great recipe for immediate success for the replacement coach. I agree with AJ, USC will take the south.

Tomorrow will show a lot. If SC wins then they are obviously the front runner for the South. While Kiff and Seven Win Sark have recruited well, there are still some depth issues. Next year Southern Cal could be locked an loaded.
