Sark has already proven to be a great recruiter. At SC that will only get better. With SC talent even a marginal coach should have tremendous success.Originally posted by SeattleUte View Post0-12 is far below what Husky fans should expect. His predecessor seems to have retired in place and even had mental or emotional problems. To say he improved on 0-12 is to damn with faint praise. Recognizing the Phil Knight phenomenon and Stanford's cache for academics, the Huskies still really ought over the long haul to be a dominant team in the Pac 12 North. Sark had five years and the team seems to have plateaued. Husky fans should be ready for a change. It wasn't time to make a change, but they should not be lamenting a change. On the other hand, USC fans need to hope he's become a better coach while at Washington and is still yet to show how good he's become.

I think SC fans are expecting sark to continue this sanctions process through next year and into the season after that. After two seasons, SC can start fishing again. Hiring a-level coaching is difficult enough, when you add in the sanctions, almost impossible. Sark can recruit, he just can't coach at an elite level. Hopefully that can change but I'm not expecting much.Originally posted by SeattleUte View Post0-12 is far below what Husky fans should expect. Huskies will do well with Mora but the new lead dog is in Eugene. That won't change because Oregons budget isn't changing any time soon. Generally speaking, the teams with the biggest budgets win the most games over time. UW shouldn't be seeking to change its coach, it should be seeking to grow its budget. The rest should follow.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

All I get from this nonsense is that you really hate Washington. You BYU fans are all so full of hate for so much. I used to say that cougarboard hurt my eyes, all the venom emitting from that site. Now here is much the same way. It makes me sad.Originally posted by MarkGrace View Post
Beyond the 0-12, they hadn't had a winning season in the five seasons prior. His 8 regular season win this year is only the 5th time the Huskies have won 8 or more games in the last TWENTY years. I don't know what Husky fans think their program is, but the plateau he had them on wasn't all bad given their history in the last, I don't know, two decades.
You could say this similar nonsense about Okahoma State, Auburn, Stanford, Clemson, South Carolina, Baylor, Michigan State, Arizona State, UCLA, and so on. Fact is that TWENTY ONE years ago Washington won the National Championship. It has won four national championships (HFN, that's four more than Oregon has won), multiple Rose Bowls, Orange Bowls, etc. Washington won a Rose Bowl in 2001 with Neuheisel. Why do you think Oregon so intensley hates Washington? Because until ten years ago the Ducks never beat them. (HFN, do they still start every Oregon game with that interception return against Washington on the junbo monitor?)
Fact is, even top five programs like USC experience dry spells. It's rough in the big conferences.
3D and Ted Miller agree with me.When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

Nicely done.
SU, I don't hate Washington. I really couldn't care less about them. Washington only claims 2 NCs not 4, though that is still more than Oregon has and is a source of envy.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostAll I get from this nonsense is that you really hate Washington. Yes "The Pick" is still a part of the highlight package that proceeds the Ducks coming onto the field, it was a day that changed they slayed the giant, the day that changed the stars of both teams. In the 19 games from 1994-2013 (they didn't play in 2001 because "LA" Tom Hanson was (likely still is) an idiot, Oregon holds a 15-4 advantage, 6 conference titles for Oregon to 2 for Washington. No one play has changed as much as "The Pick" for two teams. Yes the last 50 years hold a strong advantage for Washington, the last 20 (average college recruit is 15-17 years old) hold an equally huge advantage for Oregon, the last 10 Washington/Oregon comparisons are silly, also despite Washington's greatness and Oregon's awfulness, Royal, Owens, James were never able to beat the lowly Ducks 10 straight times.
For a Utah fan it is odd, as a Washington fan you sound like a crazy old codger in the early 1900's running around claiming "The South shall rise again!" History is changing my good friend.Get confident, stupid

Maybe 20 years doesn't seem like a long time for guys like BYU71 who have already lived 4x that, but let me tell you, it is a long time. Like I said, anyone who was dissatisfied with where Sark had the program (knocking on the door of win 9 -- the second highest total in the last two decades of Husky football) has a very short memory (or is really old). You could say this similar nonsense about Okahoma State, Auburn, Stanford, Clemson, South Carolina, Baylor, Michigan State, Arizona State, UCLA, and so on. I don't know, SU. Many people on this board seem to feel that you can be pretty cruel toward Mormons and the LDS Church and/or BYU, which could be translated as a form of hatred. I'm not saying they're right, but just that the perception is out there. Something to think about.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostI'm not a Washington fan, just against all forms of hatred.
