Yeah. Isolating a kid in a shed for hours? What type of discipline is that? Very bizarre.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

ESPN analysts make it sound like Leach is getting canned.

I hope BYU hires him to be the new OC.

Leach is done. He's sued the university. Now it's at most a money issue. I've yet to see an employee sue an employer and stay employed (what happens in the suit is a different matter altogether). The university asked for an apology. It seems like he may be getting bad legal advice. He shouldn't have sued until they fired him. That seals his doom. Suing so he can coach in the Alamo Bowl? Ridiculous.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

Even when he had his contract extension there were issues. For some reason these 2 sides haven't been happy with each other for some time. I don't remember the particulars but they agreed to the extension, but he didn't sign it and then the school wanted to take it off the table or something?

TT was nothing before Leach went there, it will be interesting to see what happens.

I predict that there will be a huge uproar from Tech fans if Leach is fired.

I think Leach wants to be done. He knows what he is doing. He knows that Tech fans love him, he hates the administration, and he wants to become a martyr.

He should go to Baylor. Baylor and Texas Tech are pretty much the same pre-Leach at Tech. It would be pretty funny to see Tech fall back to nothingness and a different mid-level B12 team become an annual preseason top 25.

There will be an uproar with all of the Texas Tech fans when Leach is fired (as he surely will be). Where I live is right in the heart of Red Raider influence area and almost all of the local attorneys are Tech alumni. They were really pissed off when the issues about the Washington job came up...they will be furious about this.

But I have a question...what the hell is wrong with Lubbock? Sure, it is out of the way and recruiting could be difficult, but it is a nice little city.

Has Kansas hired a new coach yet?

Actually I think they hired Turner Gill, didn't they?

Are there really any decent positions open right now? Maybe Leach should hang back until UCLA fires Neuheisel. How much longer does Erickson have at ASU? I think Leach's next stop will be in the Pac 10.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Tedford is starting to feel it. This week he fired his Special Teams and TE coach, who has been with him the whole time. Cal fans are starting to want to be more than a September giant. Another 8-5 year with a few blowouts and Tedford could be in trouble.

Next year will probably be Erickson's make or break at ASU, and I am not sure there is a whole lot of talent there to make.

Maybe I just don't like Craig James, but does anyone else get the impression from this video that he's just treating this interview like any other ESPN interview? Perhaps a little self-promotion?

Nothing would tick Tech fans off more than having Leach go to Baylor and turn them into a decent football team. The two schools are almost rivals (not necessarily big rivals but they play each other in the last game of the season and are geographically not too far apart) and both are considered the little brother or red-headed step children of Texas.

I agree 100% with this post. Leach is a smart(er) guy (than Craig James) and knows what he is doing. He'll get picked up by another BCS team without any problem and with a pay raise.
