You are asking for it, mister. I may not be able to spell plebeian, but I know my bacchanalia.

      I will definitely be there.
Mrs. PAC and I are planning on coming down (I praying she doesn't insist on riding our bikes) for the weekend. We're trying to get reservations to stay at Southfork (I'm bearing an increasing resemblance to Jock Ewing, and I enjoy snapping off a quick, "Hell, J.R...."). More likely we'll be staying with the Marriott family and not the Ewings.

A Friday night dinner and/or pre-game tailgate would be excellent.

        I will definitely be there.

As it stands, my tentative plans are to spend a day in Austin visiting my old BYU roommate, then heading up to Dallas on Friday.
If Aristides and I aren't still in our current predicament, we will be attending.

            • Hey Babs, Bronco said tonight that BYU wont just be happy to be there. That they want to win and that they will compete. So tell the Sooners to be ready. Also instead of a spring game BYU is going in to full game prep the last week of spring ball.

When BYU takes something this serious, it is bad news for the opposing team. See 1994 Copper Bowl.

See also the UCLA game in Provo this past season.

                Oklahoma doesn't have a chance.

                • Ticket requests now being taken.

Pricing for club seating is pretty ridiculous. That is basically face value for the BCS championship game.

                  Reserved: $51.75
                  Reserved: $82.50
                  Club: $102.75
                  Club: $153.75

I am definitely buying day of game now.

Legacies should be able to get club seats, no problem Not sure about other levels of CC.

                  • Cougar Club just sent an announcement soliciting ticket orders for the OU game. The selections include the following:

                    Reserved: $51.75
                    Reserved: $82.50
                    Club: $102.75
                    Club: $153.75

Any CUF'ers with a better source for tickets, and do we wish to sit near each other (rumors of my upwind offenses have been greatly exaggerated)?

                      Copycat!

Since there is no limit to the amount of tickets that the CCer can buy, then if people want to pre-purchase and sit together, it would make sense to go with the highest ranking Legacy, as they will get top priority in ticket.

That being said, I personally am not ready to drop $300 on 2 tickets to a BYU game when I can get the same tickets for a hundred dollars less on game day.

What are people going to do on this one? Are you going to pre-purchase?

I see no reason in pre-purchasing the nosebleeds. Those will be available on the day of the game, as well.

I'm having a hard time deciding what to do. (Heck, I can't even decide which side of the stadium to sit on.) I don't travel to sit nosebleed. But I'm not paying 350 for two tickets to a non-conference game, either. On the other hand, I'd like to have four tickets together, and I'm not sure I'm willing to hold out and look for that day-of.

                        Here's the thingy again:

I figured it was only a matter of time. At least you were wise enough not to get suckered in the first time around.

I think I'll take your advice and buy at the game. I don't like any of you well enough to shell out an extra $100 just to sit in the same section.

How big is the stadium? How many OU fans are going? Will there be good seats left on the day of the game? I'm thinking yes, but it makes me a little nervous. No way am I travelling across the country to watch from the nosebleeds.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Isn't this the guy who made a killing on the UW game?

DDD--is this your FIL, by chance? (Not implying anything here, DDD, other than your in-laws live in Alpine...)

you'll have no problem getting whatever seats you want, assuming you only want a couple together. You may have to wait 'til kickoff, though.

The stadium seats 85 or so. Sooners will show up in pretty good numbers. A lot of Sooner fans are Cowboy fans, as well, and they'll love the chance to see the new stadium first.

I thought you were going to the Big Easy instead?
