We played the Tour 18. Greens were good, not great. Sand traps were bad. However, the layout was awesome. We really enjoyed playing. We played the wrong tees for me, too long. A lot of par 4's was driver, 3 wood.
However, I did go bogie, par, birdie on amen corner.

I'm glad you enjoyed my fair city. Apparently DDD's creativity and adventure-seeking led him only so far as to use his left hand instead of his right last night.Originally posted by byu71 View PostWe played the Tour 18. I've been in our Brazil offices this week and will miss the game. The silver lining is I won't witness 90,000 (yes out of 100,000 there will be 90,000 OU fans) okies defile America's Team's new stadium.Last edited by Viking; 09-05-2009, 06:13 AM.

Where are you getting those numbers? Not that I am contesting them, I just haven't seen anything as far as ticket sales are concerned except that it's sold out.Originally posted by Viking View PostI'm glad you enjoyed my fair city. I wonder if they're doing standing room only seats like they plan to for Cowboys games."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

I don't have a source; just assume that it will be at the seat capacity sold out and that 90% of fans will be from the wasteland across the border.Originally posted by Surfah View PostWhere are you getting those numbers? No SRO passes for the game.Originally posted by Surfah View PostWhere are you getting those numbers? Not that I am contesting them, I just haven't seen anything as far as ticket sales are concerned except that it's sold out.

I'm not sure about his numbers, either, since the stadium only seats 80k to begin with. And I don't think there's any chance it will be "at capacity." I'm guessing maybe 85% full. To his credit, I have yet to see a BYU fan around.

Mormons don't tailgate. And they're cheap. I imagine they're taking advantage of the continental breakfasts at their hotel rooms.Originally posted by Babs View PostNo SRO passes for the game.

The Oklahoman is saying the SRO (Spirit Passes) are available:

You can't actually see anything from the "viewing decks," but if there's a good number of empty seats, this is actually a pretty good way to go, because you could get in the stadium for thirty bucks and then just snag a seat.

The stadium is expandable to 100k seating but you are correct to imply that it won't be 100k, only 80k plus SRO.Originally posted by Babs View PostNo SRO passes for the game.

Don't expect much in terms of Cougar fans; it will be worse for BYU fans than the 1996 Cotton Bowl, where Doctorcoug stripped down to his skivvies, painted himself blue and got on national TV. This is an OU home game.
The lone wildcard is whether all the okies will be able to leave their meth labs alone for a full 5 hours of football plus several hours of travel time over and de volta across the Red River.

What radio station in SLC is carrying th UO game? I might try and listen on my way home after WYO stomps a mud hole in weber. There's no such thing as luck, only drunken invincibility. Make it happen.
