We are not going to be able to go up to Utah this year. SIL just had a baby yesterday and she and her husband are staying at the house while he is on break from med school (SIL has actually been there since Oct, along with her little girl...now she had added a husband and a brand new baby).

That is too many people (little kids) in the house for any sane person to endure.

I will go up to Vegas from OC in the morning and likely spend the night at G/G's house in Henderson, return home the next morning, eat dinner at in and out burger.

I am pretty sure my wife will want to attend, but no word yet. Also not sure about my FIL yet. I am definitely going to be there, though.

Cool. Basketball game also or will you not leave in time? You're planning on scalpers, right? I thought FIL was out. Something change?

whoa. forgot about hoops. thanks for the reminder. Yes, absolutely I will just get up really early and get there in time. basketball is around noon, right? Or 1? I can get there in time, no problem.

Never 100% sure about FIL, but my plans are independent of his.

              Scalpers all the way, yes.

So do you mind me hitching on to your scalping greatness? I think right now it will just be me. Unless there are some here who want to go down early day of and come back after game from SLC.

Looks like BYU will be sporting the same royal blue unis at the Veg-as bowl.

                    Royal blue repeat
The Cougars announced on Friday that they will wear the same royal blue uniforms that they wore in their 26-23 overtime win over Utah in next week's Las Vegas Bowl. They will do so to pay tribute to the 1984 national championship team at BYU that wore that color.
"The seniors were so passionate after the game. ... They were excited to wear them, but after the game, they wanted the chance to wear them one more time. And the motive was, simply, if they could draw attention to the national championship team on an even broader scale or perspective, that would be a great thing for the program," BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall said.

                      Craigslist looking good.

Lower corners for sale at $20 a pop right now. Those are not bad seats at that tiny stadium.

Anybody finding any deals yet in Utah? I think that when next week rolls around, there will be some that won't be able to make the trip. Look for Monday to see a lot of ticket action on KSL, the day before everyone takes off for the game.

I may be hitching on this if you guys don't mind. I won't even know if I can go until Friday afternoon. It all depends on how a few things play out at work.

Well I have to be back to the Wasatch Front by 10:30 Wednesday morning so I haven't figured out how I am going to be traveling down there. I might fly because there is flight back to SLC that gets in at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday morning. If I drive, I might drive to St. George or Ceder after the game and then get up at the butt crack and get back so I don't know if you would want to do that.

I want to leave right after the game so that would work with me. With two people switching off we could make the drive back same night. Long day, but if a few people go it wouldn't be bad. We can take my car.

Are you thinking about leaving Monday night? I wouldn't be able to leave until about 5 Monday. It would be a long day but with both of us we could make it work.

EDIT: I would probably be working out of a hotel room Tuesday.
