  • Question for Ute Fans re: Wynn

From my vantage point at LES Wynn seemed to play very poised and loose for a True Freshman. While Hall, as a Sr. played very tight and cautious.

Do you think this is because Wynn plays with a calm demeanor in the pocket, ala Tom Brady? Or, do you think he was just able to compete in this rivalry game with little pressure because of his experience level and expectations?

I think that is really his style. Everything I've heard from the people in the know says that is how he is.

I think he was pretty amped up during the game. As evidenced by him overthrowing the deep ball 8 times.

I sounds like the BYU strategy was to avoid turnovers at all costs. This would partially explain Max's performance.

Someone brought this up earlier (maybe KatyLied?). Is it possible that Wynn consistenly over throwing his receivers on the long ball had anything to do with the sod slowing his guys down? That seemed like a very plausible explanation. You might expect a freshman to throw some long, some short, and some right on. Wynn threw them ALL long.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.
