    Today he's saying this:
I made comments toward the entire university that were really directed specifically at those fans in RES. It was not intended to be directed at the entire organization and all of their fans and I apologize that it came out that way.

Silly us, for thinking that "their program . . . their fans . . . everything. . . . the whole university, their fans, and their organization" really "was not intended to be directed at the entire organization and all of their fans."

Kinda looks like an apology that had to be dragged out of the poor guy and that no one in University PR had a chance to edit so that it at least made sense.
    Have you posted here yet?

    Good stuff there.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I for one am not at liberty to presume to know Max's mind and accept his apology at face value and am no longer a member of that group.
That was awesome. Thanks for posting!

Of course he apologized if he didn't he would be a moron! At least we won't have to see this jerk on the field again. He doesn't stand a chance to play on sundays and I dought he has the brains for anything else.

Talk about a "classless" judgemental loser!! What a complete incompetant insecure jack-ass!! HA HA HA! Everyone should laugh and point in his general direction!!! His behavior is unacceptable.

And no, I saw absolutely nothing similar at any BYU-Utah game I've ever attended at LES. The MWC would be wise to schedule the BYU-Utah games at RES as early in the day as possible. The late start last year allowed the Pride of Utah to get REALLY liquored-up before game time. And it showed...
You're supposed to be a pragon of reason. Instead of throwing cliches at me why don't you answer my questions. Is there any corroboration for Max's story about his family? Has anyone ever mentioned this before yesterday? If the answers are no and no, I think the preponderance of the evidence is that the story is not true. Give me some support for the story.

            Max Hall.

And do you honestly believe he was calling out all of the fans and the university as a whole?

            Then you are an idiot.

Didn't his original quote call out the university as a whole?

I don't care what he said about the whole university. I'm questinging his mitigating circumstance. I'm questioning whether the story about his family ever happened. I kind of doubt it.

Note that in Max's apology he said it was wrong to take what a few people did to his family and attribute it to the entire fan base, university and organization. However, if that's what you want to do anyway with the comments a hundred or so facebook users, that's your prerogative, but you are no longer one with your QB.

Another funny aspect of this rivalry is all the whining about beer dousing.

At other schools, you get stabbed or punched. Nobody wastes time with beverages.

Utes and Cougars are wusses. Like I said earlier...the fanbase is the same. The yin and the yang to the exact same personality.

Obviously you missed the part about it being beer that was thrown. Not sure how you could have overlooked that! I mean, you know what beer is, right?

Give me credit. I'm a pioneer in recognizing this. I treat them all the same. Per YOhio, I make Utefans angrier than I do BYU fans.

So as a Utah fan, you are also admitting to being half-zoob?

Ok, I will give you credit for admitting this. You truly are a pioneer.
