Don't worry next year in salt lake the beer ninja will have his revenge!

I'm hoping to get there so I can dump beer on a byu fan. Additionally I hope to tip over some old byu grandma's wheelchair

Everything I saw was classy from both sides. There was one BYU fan that was taunting the Utes coming down from the Utah section and taking pictures of them as they walked by. I'm a little worried about what may have happened to him after I passed. He's probably already posted about his persecution at the hands of the Utes on CB.

We had several Utes around us. One guy was being loud most of the first half (nothing offensive) and by the end of the game he was dead silent.

The most vocal fan was an elderly BYU fan. When the Utes went on their ill-fated second-half run, the old BYU guy started to get really angry. So he yells down to the loud Ute fan and tells him to take off his beanie. His reasoning: the top of the beanie was "too tall" and it was blocking his view. Not sure if anyone else was cold, but it was pretty chilly in the second half, so naturally the Ute fan preferred to keep his beanie on his head. He accommodates the old BYU fan by pulling down the beanie really low on his skull. The old BYU fan says, "that's better!"

No beer was thrown, but I was pretty embarrassed. The loud Ute was pretty good natured about it. I probably would not have been so receptive to such requests.

For the record, the beanie was just a normal beanie. I don't know what the old guy was talking about. Also, this is the most instances of the word "beanie" in any of my posts.

After Utah scored to tie the game he turned to me and started yelling uncontrollably. Then he thought Utah won the game with the FG in OT. He had a rough night.

Sounds scary. Was there any beer thrown your way?

You have an obsession with old people. I have had young people yell at me, "sit down you old fart." It goes both ways.

I think they were asking you to "shut down your old farts." This is a common problem for the elderly, from what I understand. Esp if you are eating lots of hot dogs.

I forgot to mention one funny incident that happened yesterday. Before the game I was down in Spanish Fork running an errand for my MIL at the dollar store. I was decked out in my Ute gear and as I was leaving the store an elderly woman walked in with what I assume was her granddaughter. She gave me an evil look and pulled the girl away from me, backing up against the wall. Her icy stare continued as I passed. It was all pretty blatant. I was so taken aback that I just walked out, but I wish I had lunged towards her or said "boo," something to evoke a response. I'm curious what she would have done.

I've only been to one game at Rice Eccles and it was LaVell's last game. I never really saw any bad behavior on the part of the Ute fans unless you count sporting mullets and Big Dog apparel as an exhibition of bad behavior
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Wait, what? Big Dog is out of style now? Dammit, somebody needs to tell me these things.

Finding out Mark Hacking and Ted Bundy went to the U shook up a lot of older people in Utah County.

Then everytime we could hear the Utah fight song he would try and convince everyone around him that it sounded just like the Mickey Mouse Club song. I have only ever heard that on CB before.

Overall I really disliked all the fans around me.
