It's mind boggling, but then I don't know why teams concede extra points either. If you send everyone and get good penetration, even a fake kick will likely be foiled.

Boise has some serious home town clock operators today. I have seen about 3 different occassions where they have ran the clock well after a first down or a guy going out of bounds.

I took West Virginia over Pitt in pick'em, however it was only a 1 pointer.

Yeah, looks like you, Surfah and I did, but nobody put much confidence in it. On the other hand, falafel was 9 points confident that Pitt would win.

I love Mandel's take on why the SEC and Pac-10 never meet up in bowl games:

Believe me, I'd love to see [a SEC-Pac10 matchup] too. Generally speaking, the SEC and Pac-10 have been the two most entertaining conferences this decade (some years more than others), and there's an undisputed disdain between both sides. The problem is geography. No bowl east of Texas is going to partner with the Pac-10, whose fan bases don't generally travel in droves even within their region, much less across the country.

I am trying to remember if USC was ranked fifth in the nation at the time of the Oregon loss or fifth in the PAC-10.

SU, are you now arguing that Oregon > Texas?

SC was 6th in the nation(5th in BCS), I can't speak for the rest.

EDIT: They were fifth in the BCS, 6th in the polls

Why are you so sure Texas could beat Oregon? Oregon will win a tough Pac 10 this year. Texas has not played Oregon's schedule.

I am just trying to keep up with which argument you are making. I have no idea what Oregon or the PAC-10 has to do with our original topic.

3D was responding to Babes' "USC and the nine dwarves" comment. The thing is, it's been a long time simce USC went undefeated in the Pac 10.

Tonight's UCLA/USC game is on Fox Sports at 8, and here in Northern Utah the Jazz game at 7 takes priority. So unless you have one of those packages that includes multiple Fox Sports networks, you'll only see the what's left of the USC game once the Jazz game ends.

CJ Spiller takes the opening kickoff back for a TD against the Cocks. If the Tigers beat the Jackets next week and he has a big game, he will be a Heisman finalist.

TCU's stadium has only half the crowd as its previous game. I guess that was thanks to Utah and their national fan base.

Jonathan Rainey is having a monster game for the Lobos. 1 sack and a recovered fumble halfway through the first quarter.
