Is TCU far superior to Texas? No way.

If we are going to pick out one game to make a case, I choose TCU's three point win over AFA.

That was the week TCU's players had H1N1, and the game was played in an ice storm with wind chills of 8. Despite 3 turnovers, TCU held them to 287 yards.

Of all the teams that have won 3 or 4 national championships ever, Texas is definitely right at the top of that list. Also, I think Texas has won a Heisman, hasn't it? That is also cool.

Who is better? No one can know. I know you picked Alabama to beat the Utes by 30 points in the Sugar Bowl. That Texas sports pundit somebody posted a while back didn't claim Texas was better. He said Texas deserved the higher ranking and to play for the "NC game" because of its history of being in a superior class. This is the same argument the nobility used to justify their status in France before 1789.

Yep 1938 Davey O'Brien won it.

I posted before I read this. But thank you for corroborating my point. Texas is better because it's Texas and TCU is TCU.

lol. Now I am supposed to defend an unknown pundit. And the French nobility!

Try to focus, amigo. I objected to the premise that TCU is vastly superior to Texas.

Oklahoma is having a down year because its all American qb got injured = the Big 12 is havng a down year. It's a lot like the MWC that way. Not much there there after the top 2-3 teams. Contrast the Pac 10.

Forget the Texas sports pundit. This is 3D's argument. And we all know 3D is just a walking up-market sports pundit convention.
