You guys don't even know the story, so okay. The title of the video instantly makes me the bad guy. But for those who care to read what happened, the same story I've been asked to tell over and over again:
After the incomplete pass, we all stormed the field. We then learned that one more second of game clock remains. We were all moved to the sidelines. Then comes the blocked kick, we all rush again. I happened to run into BYU Head Coach Bronco Mendenhall, who was yelling at a bunch of Utes students. He looked me in the eye and told me to "get the f*** off the field." He then said that there's "one more play! One more play!"--he was spazzing. Then, once again, everyone was moved to the sidelines. After the kick hit the post, I rushed the field again. I happened to run into Bronco Mendenhall, again, and asked him how many more plays there were. I then said "Bronco, there's no more plays. You can get off our field." He then completely changed the direction he was going and came toward me. The cops asked me to leave, so I did. I didn't raise my arms or show any aggression, but simply walked away and told him to go home. He disrespected other fellow Utes and myself, and I'm not going to let him come into our house and walk on us. Don't regret it one bit.
So for all of you who want to say "clown" this or "idiot" that, I don't care. I have no problem with the actions I made.
Josh Bennett I wish he would have beat me up, too. That's great, because violence solves everything. I don't feel one bit ridiculous. He talked down to a bunch of fellow Ute fans, so I stood up for all of us. He lost all sense of professionalism, and I got into his head. Whoops.
For the record, I had two cops tell me to go away. When the cops told me to go away, of course I am going to leave, because if I take a step toward Bronco, then I'm the one getting thrown to the ground and put in handcuffs.
