What's with all the votes for making the MWC look better? I don't get that at all.

We have three top 25 teams, top 20 really, and one gets to play in a good game while the other two get the Poinsettia and Vegas bowls. Did anyone even watch those two bowl games? Is anyone going to watch the Sugar bowl outside of Utah and Alabama? You think MWC dominance is going to change the bowl tie-ins? Or suddenly the BCS is going to give the MWC an auto-bid? I think not.

I am pulling for Utah because Utah is my second favoite football team. I don't care for the Utes in Basketball.

I will admit one of the reasons I like Utah is because of Kyle. Another is because they have good mormon kids on the team. Another is because I am from and live in the State of Utah. Another is I will feel good for some of my Ute buddies. I did graduate from Utah too, but even if they win the BCS I will continue tohang my BYU degree above the Ute won.

As much as I will root for the Utes to win I will sit there pissed off it isn't BYU in the game.

If it's SU or any number of jerks on Utefans (and I don't lump SU with those simpletons as he's certainly in a class by himself), I hope Bama destroys the Utes. I'm quite vexed by this dichotomy.
Like many others, I have similar feelings.

But alas, I think Alabama has my heart this year.
            • We just drove through northern Alabama on the way home from Chattanooga, and the folks there were nice (no speeding tickets, service at the Hardees outside of Hunstville was good, no slow drivers in the passing lanes).
            • Helen Keller is from Tuscumbia.
            • Our EQP is a former Alabama player, and he is a very nice guy.
            Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I'm not sure who I will cheer for. I have tried to cheer for the Utes in the past, but it makes me feel dirty. I plan on watching the game and let the cheering come to me naturally. There is one reason I could never be a Ute fan - Shareef Shaw. He is a total douchebag. He makes Toby Christensen sound like a hall of fame broadcaster.

                This thread is an abomination.

BYU fans rooting for Utah? Pathetic.

Another reason why this rivalry is small time.

Then perhaps we should do our talking on the field instead of on t-shirts or firesides.

I have spoken to a couple of Utah players over the years. They like Utah because they can still have a religious experience at utah without the microscopic analysis of everyone in Utah county.

We had better begin to step up in performance or Utah will become even a bigger brother than we wish.

I'll cheer for the former BYU players who are now coaching at the U. Apparently they weren't good enough for the BYU coaching staff but good enough for the U. So I will cheer for the former BYU players who are playing in a BCS Bowl vs. the pathetic LV Bowl.....again.
