Go read the trib archives about Whits reaction to Harvey, when Harvey told him he was going to BYU just to see what would happen. Whit flipped out and made an ass of himself. When Harvey told Lance Reynolds he was going to Utah, Lance wished him well and said he hopes he is succesful.

Harvey said thats why he made his decision to go to BYU.

Fiyero: Harvey runs probably a low 4.5 or 4.6. But BYU runs primarily out of the shotgun so he would do just fine in Utahs system, he is plenty fast to get the edge and has great vision. Also he is a great pass catcher catching over 50 balls his first two seasons.

Are you saying Unga is better than Wide? You are directly contradicting your Ute brothers in this thread.

Also, if what you are saying about Whit is true, I am expecting at minimum for Wide to be the MWC player of the year. Fine, he won't win the Heisman, but you would think Whit could develop Wide enough to win the MWC award, no? I doubt Whit can get that done, but you seem to be bullish on it.

You'll never convince me BYU doesn't brow beat these kids with fear of hell fire. What about that kid that went to Oregon after the Prophet blessed him to make the right decision and the spirit told him to go to the Ducks? LOL. That kid was smarter than they thought. Crazy like a fox.

If Utah fiinishes 11-1 Wide may be player of the year.

Whit has nothing to prove to you.

Do you think he's faster than Asiata? I ask just to gauge how fast he is.

He's a great back, and he'll be first-team all-MWC this year by a huge margin, but he would've been a nasty LB for Utah. Put him in the middle between Sly and Fotu, especially last year?

And I agree, Unga would do juuuust fine at RB for Utah.

Wide is about 5th on the POY list right now. Behind Dalton, Hall, Unga, and even his own teammate David Reed.

He will struggle to be first team MWC because of the way the MWC likes to reward seniors he may get beat out by Joseph Turner.

IF they finish 11-1? lol. sounds like you are already throwing up the white flag. You are conceding an automatic loss to TCU and the "if" means you aren't even convinced that the Utes will beat BYU in Provo.

I don't blame you, esp after BYU manhandled the Pokes on the road and the Utes struggled at home against them.

The problem is I always recognize a brother victimized by the LDS Church. Being at BYU, Unga is right there to see and pity. On the other hand, Manti is at Indiana and you guys talk about him constantly. (Manti Teo got loose of the web somehow. I'm happy for him.) We don't mention Unga that often.

Don't be so ignorant to think that Whit isn't trying to talk 17 year old kids out of the promise they have made to other universities. Every single coach out there is trying to talk these kids out of commitments and these are 17 year old boys that will change their mind from time to time.

As Junkie pointed out, you don't know what you are talking about in regards to what took place between Whit and Harvey.

The MWC doesn't choose the POY from a team that dominated the conference? Strange.

We saw BYU's true colors last week. Hall has this freakish success against Wyoming year after year.
