Gee, why would anyone talk about USC in a thread where the avatar of the most active poster shows a USC button?

Who brow beat you with fear of hell fire to make you go on a mission? Apparently the beating wasn't effective.

Never seen or heard (outside of the mobs in Missouri) who have such hatred for Mormons, as you do. Has that attitude rub off on your wife and kids as well?

Harvey said thats why he made his decision to go to BYU.

Fiyero: Harvey runs probably a low 4.5 or 4.6. But BYU runs primarily out of the shotgun so he would do just fine in Utahs system, he is plenty fast to get the edge and has great vision. Also he is a great pass catcher catching over 50 balls his first two seasons.
This little story oF Unga's is such bullshit. Of course he got different reactions. He calls Utah and backs out on his commitment of course Whit is going to be mad. He calls BYU and affirms his commitment to Utah of course Reynolds won't freak out, he wasn't expecting him. Either this story is just Unga's attempt to make his rival look bad. If this is really this reason he picked Byu he is an idiot.

3 straight 1000 yard seasons later, and 70 yards away from becoming the schools all time leading rusher makes me think that no matter how he made his decision he made the correct one.

          • 3D, don't punish us for being good. The teams we've beaten are considered bad because we're good. In football good and bad are relative concepts, are they not? There are many more bad teams than good ones. We can't just play good teams all the time. Being good is not as easy as you might think. Look at all the bad teams there are.

In the same sense that Marino made the right choice to stay in Miami all those years.

You bet he is now one of the best QBs of all time. What changes if he goes to Utah? He still doesnt win a championship.

Uh, they were the "People's National Champions," sir.

No, they don't. And you only have to look back to 2007 to know that.

In fact (and I am sure you know this) Halotis father died his freshman year at Oregon and his mother died his junior year. If he would have gone to BYU he most likely would have been on a mission during his fathers death, just returning when his mother died and would have probably quit football to take care of his family. By going to Oregon after his mothers death he was able to turn pro and now supports his family.

It worked out very well for him.
I remember that. Was it Y'zGuy or Coug that said Haloti brought all that tragedy on himself by not going to BYU?

That was a classic Cougarboard thread.

                        • This Wide fellow is definitely a gamer. If he reaches the 30 yard plateau tonight, you have to think that he will start getting some Heisman buzz.
