Selfishly, I like that all our games are reasonable hours on Saturday.

I actually love it when it is a weeknight game. Then I can watch all of the other great games on Saturday.

This years P10 champion is playing the last game of the year, against their rival, on Thursday night.

It would be cool if Oregon were able to win its 3rd conference championship of all time. I bet the fans in Eugene would be really happy!

My reasoning is, that on ESPN, our "deal" would get BYU and the conference on their network, what, BYU a couple/few times a year....and the conference games a handfull of games?

Basketball...several games.

And we're done.

With the MTN...I get to see ALL games, ALL basketball, ALL the features, olympic sports, features yadda yadda yadda ALL on the MWC teams.

There is WAY more information regarding the teams in our conference than you would get for just a couple football games and a couple basketball games.

I love the MTN. If allowed, it could grow into a nice network.

to be honest, I often feel like I have to watch some of BYU's games out of loyalty. BYU vs SDSU. UNLV. New Mexico. ugh.

The thing is, if you look at the WAC's schedule, they have a pretty reasonable schedule: two Wednesday games, eight Friday games, and three Thursday games.

Maybe I'm a MWC homer, but I highly doubt BYU/Utah/TCU would ever find themselves playing on a Wednesday night. And Thursdays and Fridays are doable, IMO.

I just don't want another schedule like 2004.

All Saturday games but one, but only 2 that started before 7PM, and one of those was at 10 AM.

I assume it wouldn't hurt attendance too much though and it would probably be worth it for ESPN exposure.

Like I said, these are selfish reasons.

Thanks for the edit and that is exactly right.

After this year I will not feel that obligation. It will be the Utah/BYU games that I record and watch later.

So if ESPN offered the MWC a deal with similar money to Comcast, but wanted 2-3 games per year from the conf on Wed, Thurs or Fri nights would you take it?

Absolutely and I have been bangin' that drum since the MTN was formed.
