I don't get the BYU and Utah hatred of BSU. Correct me if I am wrong but didn't both programs have a chance to do their talking on the field and both pretty much laid down in a fetal position and shaved their privates while asking the agressor to do his damage as gently as possible?

If I recall both programs will have that opportunity again in the next few years and since TCU finally ended BSU's streak against MWC opponents there is hope that Utah might be sober and BYU might be able to execute a 34 yard field goal. Until then I recommend we pretend to not be so jealous about BSU success and dominance of us.

My hatred of BSU is like my hatred of any school. It's the fans. On my shit list of fans, they are number 2. They are a distant second to Arizona fans.

That being said, I would pull for BSU over any BCS school.

The pecking order isn't based in reality. If that were the case, the Big East would've lost their status the day the ACC took all their teams.

My take on the matter is that it boils down to envy. Many MWC fans believe they are close to getting a permanent seat at the dance, but BSU is either splitting the vote or complicating the process. It's crazy to watch the attitude shift from "we want fairness," to "ignore them, just take us."

The ironic thing is that BSU is a combination of BYU and Utah in the 80's: they schedule one or two decent OOC games and then RUTS on a conference of hapless weaklings, with a bunch of trick plays.

I think the dislike comes from BSU having to beat one quality team per year to get into the BCS. The WAC's next highest rated team is something like 50+ and half are 100+. Whereas the MWC has 3 in to top 25 year after year.

I think that is where the hatred comes from. Strength of schedule. BYU fans just better hope that the team shows up this time around. And from past comments from the BYU coaching staff, it will up to the players to get themselves up. Hopefully Bronco breaks that tradition and comes out of his shell. BYU has a great chance to get close to #12 in the polls again. We'll see if TCU's speed is the deciding factor again.
