Through 4 games Max has a 1:1 td/int ratio. I'm not sure how many are his fault, but any way you slice it those numbers are fugly for a Sr.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Agreed. Reminds me of the Broncos during the Jake Plummer era. They were winning a lot of games, so most of the fans (myself included) ended up making excuses for Plummer's dumb decisions: receiver fell down; receiver ran the wrong route; etc. etc. In the end, it just came down to the fact that he wasn't as good as we wanted him to be.

Logan was the victim of some perfect throws and his small body. I don't think everyone will be able to take advantage of him.

I'm not sure what defense some of you were watching, but I have major concerns about our run defense, too. If we hadn't had a huge a first quarter, CSU would have run the ball all game and beaten us. They were getting 10-15 yards a pop out there. Except for Logan, we were actually defending the pass better than the run.

Hall had a bad game. A very bad game. This makes me nervous about Hall--too often, he tries to make a tough throw. When he's on, he's great. When he's not, he throws three picks.

What are you talking about? CSU had 3 yards rushing in the first half and averaged under 3 yards per carry for the game.

In the two today, one Harvey admitted that he ran the wrong route on an option route, and the second it looked like Jacobsen stopped on a slant route that the corner picked. Not pretty, but in a timing offense when the QB has to make throws before a receiver may be in his spot, they happen.

Granted, there were quite a few other passes that very easily could have been picked as well, but I get where you are coming from.

That surprises me. I didn't see the stats and I'm talking more about the 3rd and 4th quarters, but it seemed like every time they ran, they were getting huge chunks of yardage. Maybe we were dropping back into coverage more at this point, but at one point, we were only up two scores with a full quarter left to play.

CSU had 28 carries for 66 yards in the game, 2.4 ypc.

Right, Indy said that. Let's look at the 3rd quarter (which I believe I mentioned).
Rushing plays (not including sacks, for the purposes of this dicussion)
                    16
                    6
                    4
                    13
                    2
                    5
                    6
                    12
                    total 64 yds, 8 ypc.

So, CSU at this point is down 11 points and inexplicably, for the entire 4th quarter, despite averaging 8 ypc, runs all of two rushing plays.

I still maintain that we lose this game if CSU hadn't abandoned the running game for the 4th quarter. We were not stopping it.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but CSU never had the ball down 11. They cut the lead to 11, kicked the ball back to BYU and BYU proceeded to score to go up 18. CSU scored again, went for 2, missed it, and then kicked what may have been the worst onsides kick I've ever seen. So while they might have been down 11-12, they were never "that" close.

Yeah, that's true. And we had that long drive at the beginning of the 4th quarter which put us up 18, leaving them with not enough time to run the ball much. So I guess they don't win, and I guess that explains why they abandoned the run.

Original point, though, still stands. Our rushing defense in the 2nd half was terrible and we weren't up enough in the 3rd quarter to explain it away by saying we were defending the pass.

The Defense is bad period. It has been bad since the beginning of '08. Right when Jaime Hill was promoted to D Coordinator.

Interrupting a two-year period of good defense, which began when he was hired to coach the secondary.

Well he may be a decent secondary coach but he sucks major ass as a D coordinator.

I hope his ass gets canned after this year. He is a major piece of shit.

So what you're saying is that Pendleton was right.
