I am waiting on this game to form my opinion for the rest of the season. For me to be impressed, the D will have to hold CSU to 14 or less and win by 20.

That doesn't mean I won't be happy with a win by 1 point Indy, so don't go off on me.

A win by 20 and CSU held to under 14, scores in mop up time I won't count, and I am back on the 11-1 bandwaggon.

I am with you 100%. CSU is not a huge opponent but for BYU's psyche/morale as well as clearing the air with respect to what BYU is this is a very big game.

Hey gunner can you stay on target? You were whining about proposed margins of victory originally. If you will admit that your stringpulling clouded your judgement and you were reading what your frenzied mind wanted to read instead of what insightful fans were offering as projected MOV, we can then evaluate why/how this is actually a big game for BYU, regardless of opponent.

While my one older brother is definitely bitter the other one married a true canadian not a french canadian. There is a difference.

Nobody is forgetting about this game. It just gets overlooked because of last weekend and the last 6 games of 08.

Just as he married a true Canadian he roots for the only true college football team in the lovely deseret!

CSU will win. Their coach is a gamer, a coming star, and this will be a decisive game in his career.

This isn't a troll; it's an honest post.

I have yet to see anything that shows that Steve Fairchild is a gamer or a coming star. Last year he road the back of Gartrell Johnson. This year they needed a fumble by Weber State to win.

                        1. This game should not be a big game for the program.
                        2. Due to last week's performance, it is.

CSU is as overrated as we were going into FSU. BYU takes this one easily.

I believe the spread is 17 (not sure)....and it wouldn't surprise me tmrw to see BYU nearly double that spread.

CSU is vastly overated this year. I'm sorry, but any team that has to have a fluke fumble in the last 30 seconds to beat an FBS team at home....well you suck.

Obviously after the game, I am not on the 11-1 bandwaggon. I also am not going to "bag" on this team. We are who we are. Still ranked in the top 25 and 3-1 with a win over number 8 Oklahoma.

Could we end up 11-1, sure, but based on what I have seen so far, I am not going to predict it. To do that, they will have to get better. Since I am not a big fan of better execution will do it alone, I just don't think we have the talent on defense to get a lot better.

That being said, I am not going to rip on any individual players on defense. If someone is better than the players playing, that is the coaches fault they aren't in the game. If the defensive scheme isn't good enough, that also is the coaches fault. Maybe there is no coaching fault, we are doing the best with the talent we have. Lastly, that talent is better than we have had the last couple of years. IMHO
