2019 PGA Championship Pick 'em

I guess it is up to me to let you all know the format. Unless someone else provides a prize, we are back to pride and bragging rights. Here's what I am thinking. Pick four different players and assign each one a day. Combine the four days for your weekend score. If your Saturday or Sunday players do not make the cut, you get +10 for each round in which you do not have a player playing, kinda like Surfah did when he included Furyk in his Master's picks. Here is the list.

This format is kind of interesting.... two people can have the exact same four players - but play them in a different order - and still have a huge score differential.

Courses aren't available later in the summer? I liked it later to spread out the majors more. PGA has always struggled with relevance, but does this help?

I think so. With the addition of the FedEx playoffs in the last decade, the PGA gets buried a bit. It happens and then the golf coverage almost immediately starts focusing on the playoffs. And from there, right to Ryder/President’s cup. Now it will have some breathing room, like the other majors. I think it will prove to be a good move.

The move to May allows the PGA to consider courses across the country that might be too hot in August.

It also allows the tour to move the FedEx Cup to the end of August instead of in September where it was losing to the NFL.
