Visa did a presale lottery and I entered with some family. My cousin was selected and his time slot was yesterday. He was allowed up to 40 tickets with a maximum of 4 tickets for any one match. I ended up getting tickets to the second US group stage match in Seattle and the third US group stage match in LA. I had a chance to also buy in the knockout rounds but I decided not to lay the prices currently available without a US match guarantee.

I'm super excited. I was expecting to overpay on the secondary market for a US match ticket if I was able to go to one at all so this was a pleasant surprise. Supposedly there will be more lotteries and they are releasing more tix at every price level with each lottery. So being I haven't been selected yet I will keep entering and if selected for a later lottery I may get a couple knockout round matches on one of the possible US paths and then if they crash out or go on another path I would still see hopefully get some good matches.

This also means USA auto qualifies right? Guess that would be good since t would be embarrassing to not qualify on our home turf.

Autoqualify spots are to be determined. We will be hosting 3/4 of the matches so chances are we will get an autoqualify spot
But even if we dont, the world cup finals is expanded to eleventy billion teams in 2026. CONCACAF will have at least 6 spots, and maybe more. If we can't qualify under that scenario we really should stop playing the sport.

Awesome. We've got 7-8 guys age 20 and younger that have started the last few friendlies, all playing in Europe or on their way, with great futures. If they develop and there are more in line behind them, who knows maybe in 8 years we'll be in a position to make some noise.
